We're moving to a new platform
Hi everyone, Unfortunately, Skool has become too costly for me to maintain at this time. I may restart it, but for now, the OWSC has to move to my own platform on my website, a newly-built app for iOS and Android, and Discord. Everyone who joined the OWSC early (that's all 20 of you, thank you!), will have access to the app and community via my website, if you'd like to continue to be a part of this. You won't pay anything, as you are my early adopters. If you're interested in this, please send me a DM. I will also be DMing you myself for a follow-up prior to cancelling my Skool subscription. I fully believe in the OWSC, but, I have to be mindful of finances in continuing to launch this project. Skool costs $100/mo., and, even as I have been heavily marketing it via ads networks, I've yet to turn it into a project that is paying for itself. My goal is to do that via my website. The bonus of this is that, of course, the system will not be reliant on a third-party platform. If you're interested in the OWSC app, it is currently available via web, with the Android/iOS submissions pending review. You may join here: https://one-week-song-club.passion.io/ With your permission and your email, I will give you access to the course and community. The Discord server will be active this week. The OWSC on Skool will close on 12/9/24. I hope to see you all as we move platforms and continue to create something great. Thank you!

OK so it took a little over a week, but...
Here's a song produced entirely with recordings from a Casio SK-1. Sample sources include wine glasses, a sawblade, a glass vase, and human voice. I tried to use every feature the keyboard has, including the onboard glissando, envelopes, vibrato, and beats. Micro-keys are hard to play.

You actually can write more music
Using the methods I've created in the One-Week Song Club and having written and released over 305 songs in ten years: - I don't fail car tests anymore, nor do I run ten million mixdowns. - I release a ton of music. - I create something, release it, move on and create more. - The key is a combination of giving yourself a system with proper processing of your tracks that's pre-planned for your instruments and what you're playing, as well as confidence in yourself and your music. Believe me, the confidence plays a huge role. Bigger than the technical side of things. If you want to learn how I did this, and how you can, too, you can get my nine dollar course that teaches the mindset and methods to making more music.

What are your goals for this week?
Setting goals for writing music is important. Personally, I set a goal to write a song every week. I have done that 45 times over this year, so far. I have done this by setting aside at least an hour for writing music. If I can do that, I know that I'm going to, at the very least, get something written. Will it be perfect? Probably not. Will it be something that I created, something that I made? Absolutely. Will it drive me to create more? I'm sure it will. If you're working to write more music, the best way to get started is to do it. That sounds super simple, but it's more than true. If you think you don't have the skill, you probably do! The important part is allowing yourself to write, experiment, and have some fun. What are your goals for this week in your music?
