Period Cramp Remedy 🩸
This is so exciting!!! I've been using Traditional Medicinals for 3 years now and specifically their raspberry leaf tea to support period cramps!! Honestly, it's such a simple cramp hack* & I've recommended it to other women who have had great results with it. And now I found out that they have a tea specially for your menstrual cycle called "Healthy Cycle" how beautiful!!! I can't wait to try it!! Comment below if you've tried with their Healthy Cycle or Raspberry Leaf tea and I will also jump in with my review on their Healthy Cycle tea 🍵😍 https://www.traditionalmedicinals.com/products/healthy-cycle-tea

Period Cramp Remedy 🩸
Birth control is now free in BC, and you need to know this!
There are 70 different types of birth control methods that are covered by the BC government, 48 of which are the pill form. Of the pill forms 96% of them contain ethinyl estradiol which acts as "estrogen" and is used in addition to norgestimate (6/48), norethindrone (8/48), drospirenone (12/48), desogestrel (10/48), or levonorgestrel (14/48) to stop/suppress ovulation from a natural hormonal & reproductive cycle. Why this is important is because we are hindering healthy functioning of the body. So we have to ask ourselves: ⭕ Why we are really on it? ⭕ What are the benefits and disadvantages? and; 🌟 What are the other options? We'll also go over: 💦How to have safe sex, and; 🌟How to actually resolve your period problems SO LET'S DIVE IN... ⭕Why are we really on it?⭕ Typically because of: - Preventing pregnancy - "Solving" period problems (aka, suppressing them) - Not having to think about our period coming (if the form of HBC suppresses your bleed as well) or being bothered by it All completely valid reasons, and those reasons also cross over into the "benefits." So that leaves us with the ⭕disadvantages & side effects⭕ - swelling (edema), - weakness, - breakthrough bleeding, - changes in weight or appetite, - headache, - nausea, - vomiting, - bloating, - stomach cramps, - breast tenderness or swelling, - nipple discharge, - freckles or darkening of facial skin, - increased hair growth, - loss of scalp hair, - problems with contact lenses, - vaginal itching or discharge, - changes in your menstrual periods, or - decreased sex drive. Extreme Cases - stroke - blood clot - heart attack - liver problems - increased blood pressure - symptoms of depression (For a complete list, see https://www.rxlist.com/alesse-side-effects-drug-center.htm)

Sending you inner new moon vibes 🌕
This is how divine being in alignment with your cycle and body is and how important it is to listen to your intuition. This week has been stressful for many reasons: - I got asked to go pick up samples around town for my other job unexpectedly (and thought to myself, I'll either do this Wednesday afternoon or Thursday) and got asked to everything Wednesday afternoon so everything would be ready in time for the Thursday morning meeting - Another unexpected task came up late Wednesday that needed to be done by the end of the week Yesterday (Wednesday) I was looking at my nature cycles app and noticed I was on day 27. Usually that's how long my cycles are and the app had predicted it would be 30 days long. I thought to myself, I think I might get my period tomorrow, that would be a normal cycle for me. This morning I checked my temperature which was 36.37 which is usually around the temperature of the first day of my bleed and I just felt my body say "no morning walk please" and so I didn't go out. I thought, these are some period vibes right here. Sure enough, I started to feel a little tender in my lower abdomen which usually comes along with the first day of my bleed, but no blood...yet... As soon as I finished the task that popped up and needed to get done today, boom, blood. And my work day is over, so I'm off to rest some more and honour her timing to show up. It is amazing how creating space in life, creates space to bleed and she is powerful. Move mountains powerful. I could have had such a busy day today running around town and completing the tasks the needed to get done. But no, the universe had lined up that it all be done before my bleed, so she has space to be present and shed 💓 Wishing you all a spacious bleed this month! 😘

How To Sync With Your Menstrual Phase
As your period approaches your hormones begin to drop to their lowest point. You might find yourself with low energy and wanted to be less social. This is completely normal as your hormones are at their lowest point your body is focusing more on the shedding of the uterus lining than on being social to mate during ovulation. This is the body primal biorhythm. Which is important to support so you can optimize your hormones and work with them instead of against them which contribute to unwanted symptoms like PMS. When we honour our day 1 and 2 with rest and nourishment we set ourselves up for energy, creativity and focus during the beginning of our cycle. Of course, life is happening! We live in system that is not currently optimized for cyclical living, let alone rest - unfortunately. And to support you through the thick or thin of life, here are some ways to support your body during your menstrual phase: - Ask a colleague to switch shifts with you; or have a "period pact" where you cover each other when your bleeding - See if you can work from home that day - Move slowly, take your time and small breaks - As your partner, family or friend to help with the kids - Know when your bleed is coming and plan around it - Get all your "to-do's" done before your bleed MIND, this is a great time to shed what is not working for you and to let go of anything that isn't serving you. You can take this into your personal and business/career by taking advantage of your analytical mind during the phase. MOVEMENT is always important for optimal wellbeing and during menstruation you might just simply want to rest and take a nap which is highly encourage. Listen to your body and she will thank you. Then when you feel a little spike in energy, just keep remembering to take it slow and not over do it. FOOD your body is doing HARD WORK for you and it's important to remineralize the body, keep your liver at bay and support your blood sugar with nutrient dense foods. LOVE take time for yourself during the first day or two and if you feel like engaging with yourself or partner in an intimate way, by all mean go for it! It is even proven to help relieve cramps and mood. Just be sure to stay lubricated as it is a dry phase.
