Starting next week I will be staying at a resort on a small island in the southern part of Thailand. Powder soft white beaches and crystal clear water, nightlife, amazing food, and massages and room service. Five star luxury... I have rented out the largest villa in the resort. It has it's own private swimming pool and a butler to care for all my needs. In the United States this would cost $2000-3000 per night for this level of service. My cost? $280 a night...and to be honest I probably could have gotten it for half that if I was not going in the high season, when all the tourists are visiting Thailand.
