Career Path?
So as I continue to develop my skills and get better with Plasticity & Blender, I'm still keeping in thought my goal of becoming a freelance artist. However, focusing on a niche is stressed instead of doing a hodgepodge of assets for a portfolio. So I'm at a bit of a loss on where I should be focusing myself. I know for most typical jobs you can go onto websites like indeed and get a general idea on the amount of work available in a particular field. But is there a way to gauge this for 3D artists?
For example, game asset creation is something I've been learning, but at times the field seems to be over bloated. And I'm not sure if that would be best to pursue this kind of work. Of course Nikita has brought up doing product designs which is also intriguing. I enjoy 3D modelling in general so I'm not dead set on making specific things. I'm basically looking for help to make sense of the jumbled mess my brain is overthinking about lol.
