FALL is Here: Immune Health & Immunoglobulins!
Hey Everyone! I hope summer treated you well. 🍂 Can you believe we’re heading into the final months of the year? I personally love fall for the cooler mornings & nights, the beautiful colour changes with the tree leafs, and the feeling of grounding. As we move into this new season, it’s the perfect time for a little reset and self-check-in, and to encourage you to feel this transition.
With that in mind, I wanted to share some insight one of my favourite tool & product to support our IMMUNE SYSTEM naturally during this season and entering into winter! Many things happens during this season affecting many peoples immune system due to things like:
  • Lack of SUN exposure
  • Back to school
  • Halloween (Sugar Rush) Processed sugar hypes up opportunistic bacteria in the Gut which in return reduces Bifidobacteria and are key driver of a strong immune system.
  • Winter Climate. If you live in the Northern Atmosphere, like myself in Alberta Canada you get the snow and cold weather entering December.
  • Festivities, Christmas, lots of indulgence (BUT we can prep!)
All these can have a major impact on our GUT microbiome by increasing the risk of dysbiosis and degradation of the microbiome by producing endotoxins that lead to immune activation. Immune activation causes changes in tight junction structure and barrier function and what we call LEAKY GUT. This is why there are a few things I like to do before, during and after this season.
There has been a lot of hype on social media about colostrum, and while I’m not opposed to it, I personally wouldn’t take it for immune system support. The reason is that colostrum lacks the main ingredient that truly supports the immune system: Immunoglobulins.
In fact, ImmunoLin® contains around 900 mg of Immunoglobulins per gram, compared to only 150-200 mg per gram in colostrum, which is 4 to 6 times more, making it a much more effective and cost-efficient option for boosting immune health.
Let’s dive into it: (Immunoglobulins) ImmunoLin®
One of my absolute favorite products in the Gut Reset Program is MegaIgG2000 by Microbiome Labs, and here’s why:
What makes it special?
MegaIgG2000 contains ImmunoLin®, which is one of the most significant raw ingredient in this product and incredibly effective for boosting the immune system and helping rebuild the mucosal barrier in the gut to prevent leaky gut.
Why IgG immunoglobulins Matters:
  • What is it? IgG is the most abundant immunoglobulin in the body, making up 70-75% of the total immunoglobulins. So this is not new to our body we already make it.
  • What does it do? IgG provides long-term protection by neutralizing toxins and marking pathogens for destruction by the immune system. It removes the bad and leaves the good.
  • Why it’s crucial for you? Adequate IgG levels are necessary for the immune system to function properly, and maintaining these levels helps fight off chronic infections, reduce inflammation, and support overall immune health.
How does it work?
  • Binds Endotoxins: Helps reduce inflammation and improve GI function by binding microbial components such as Aflatoxin B2, Aflatoxin G1, and over 23 other common antigens (See Attached Image). (Aflatoxin B2 and Aflatoxin G1 are types of mycotoxins, which are toxic compounds produced by molds, specifically from the Aspergillus species. These toxins can contaminate a variety of food products, including: Coffee beans, Grains (such as wheat, corn, rice, and barley), Nuts (particularly peanuts), Spices, Dried fruits.
  • Reduces Leaky Gut (Metabolic Endotoxemia, toxins that our body makes): By reducing LPS (lipopolysaccharides), it helps restore gut barrier function.
  • Improves Gut Diversity: Increases beneficial gut species like Bifidobacterium and promotes Short Chain Fatty Acids production, like Butyrate, Acetate, and Propionate.
  • Superior to Colostrum: ImmunoLin® delivers a higher protein and IgG purity compared to colostrum and is lactose-free, making it a great option for those with dairy sensitivities.
MegaIgG2000 can prepare the body for colder weather by:
  • Binding harmful microbial components to reduce inflammation.
  • Supporting gut barrier function and immune balance.
  • Improving nutrient and fluid absorption in the GI tract.
One last important thing! It’s crucial to produce proper Immunoglobulins IgA, which are essential for maintaining the integrity of the gut lining and serve as our first line of immune defense. To produce IgA, the body requires Vitamin A (retinol). Unfortunately, many people are deficient in fat-soluble vitamins like A, D, E, and K due to poor intake, poor fat digestion, leaky gut, the absence of a gallbladder, excess inflammation, and other factors.
Here are some excellent sources of Vitamin A (retinol), which is the active form of Vitamin A found in animal products:
  1. Beef liver – One of the richest sources of retinol.
  2. Cod liver oil – Another excellent source, providing both retinol and Vitamin D. Best brand is ROSITA
  3. Egg yolks – A good source of retinol, especially from pasture-raised eggs.
  4. Butter and ghee – Rich in fat-soluble vitamins, particularly if sourced from grass-fed cows.
  5. Full-fat dairy products – Such as milk, cheese, and yogurt, especially from grass-fed animals.
  6. Salmon – Contains moderate amounts of retinol along with other essential fats.
You can access Mega IgG 2000 HERE for more information & a special of 15% off no code needed.
