Start “lying” to your clients…
Some people lie to their clients.
While it might make me sound like a psycho,
The truth is, I’m one of those people.
Hear me out for just a second, ok?
When I say I “lie” to clients,
I don’t mean promising them a billion dollars and then delivering nothing.
Instead, I lie in the correct (and ethical) way.
Here’s what that looks like:
The client asks for 5 emails,
I send them 8.
I say the copy will be done by the end of the week,
But then send the completed Google doc early by Friday at the latest.
Technically, I’m still lying…
…But in a good way.
So when I say I “lie” to my clients,
It means I overdeliver like a crazy person on drugs.
You might be thinking…
“Great, more work for the same pay. 🙄”
But you’ve got it all backward.
Overdelivering is about strategy.
You create a reputation,
Clients start talking about you in their circles,
Referrals come pouring in,
And you become the go-to copywriter everyone wants to hire.
So start “lying” to clients (the right way of course).
