The Thin Line Between Success and Failure: The Power of Patience and Persistence
I want to take a moment to encourage you today. Sometimes, even just five minutes before your breakthrough, it can seem like everything is falling apart. But remember, that’s exactly when persistence and patience matter the most. As appointment setters, I’m learning that these two qualities, patience and persistence are key to success. Last week, I amazed myself by reaching over 120 clients. What’s even more surprising is that almost half of them responded. I didn’t always have results like this, though. When I first started, very few clients would even respond to my messages. But through persistence and learning the art of building genuine connections, I’ve discovered that it’s not about pushing clients but getting them to realize they need the opportunity. Now, if they don’t book a call, it’s their loss, not mine. This progress didn’t happen overnight. It’s taken dedication, constant learning, and being open to guidance from those ahead of me. Listening to Tish train has been incredibly powerful. His insights help you understand not only where you are but how to get to that next level. Remember, the line between success and failure is incredibly thin. The choice is yours – will you move forward or give up? There are no shortcuts. You have to keep pushing until you succeed. Stay focused, stay patient, and stay persistent. Keep going. You’ve got this. Coach Mwikali

Reflections on the Past Week as an Appointment Setter:
This past week, we’ve faced moments of uncertainty and hesitation while reaching out to potential clients. As appointment setters, fear and doubt can easily creep in, making us second-guess our approach or worry about rejection. But what if those very feelings were signs that we’re on the verge of success? Many people give up just as they’re about to break through, not realizing how close they are to achieving their goals. Two major pointers I learnt this past week during Training with Tish! 1) Harnessing Fear and Doubt for Success as an Appointment Setter: Fear and doubt are common in this work, but they don’t have to be obstacles. When we feel fear, it signals our body’s readiness to act—our blood pumps faster, our senses sharpen, and energy floods in. Instead of allowing fear to paralyze us, we can harness that energy to push ourselves forward. Doubt can work the same way, challenging us to refine our message, improve our technique, and prove that we can meet the target. Most importantly, we must recognize that fear and doubt often show up right before we succeed. Many give up at the very edge of their breakthrough, allowing doubt to convince them that success is too far away. But those who persevere push through these emotions, leveraging them to achieve results. 2) Preparing for the Week Ahead as an Appointment Setter: As we step into a new week of setting appointments, remember that fear and doubt are not reasons to stop—they’re reminders that success is near. Don’t give up when you feel them; instead, use them to fuel your drive. Keep pushing through, and know that each outreach brings you closer to the finish line. This week, don't just face fear—embrace it and turn it into your superpower. Success is waiting, and you’re closer than you think!

Shifting Focus: The Power of Empathy in Appointment Setting
This past week has been a real eye-opener for me in my role as an appointment setter. As I sent out messages and engaged with clients, I found myself getting too focused on the mechanics, crafting the perfect message, hitting my outreach targets, and trying to get quick responses. While I was getting some results, something felt off. I realized that I was prioritizing the process over the person on the other end of the conversation. Last night, as I took some time to reflect, I noticed a clear pattern. The interactions where I slowed down, took a step back, and really tried to understand the client’s needs and concerns were the ones that felt the most meaningful. These were the exchanges where I wasn’t just trying to set an appointment, I was genuinely connecting with the person. It became clear to me that empathy is the missing piece in my approach. So, for the coming week, I’m setting a new course of action: I’m going to lead every interaction with empathy. Instead of focusing solely on booking appointments, I’m going to make a conscious effort to listen more deeply, to really understand where each client is coming from. I want to make them feel heard and valued, not just like another entry in my pipeline. This means taking the time to craft more personalized messages, asking thoughtful questions, and truly engaging with the responses I receive. I’m committed to seeing things from their perspective and addressing their concerns with sincerity. By doing this, I believe I can build stronger connections and create a foundation of trust that will make my outreach more effective and fulfilling. I’m excited to embrace this new approach. This week, I’m not just looking to set appointments, I’m aiming to build meaningful relationships through genuine empathy. Let’s make this week about understanding, connection, and creating value for every client we engage with. By Coach Mwikali!
