Squat Do’s and Don’t Squat Checklist 🏋️♂️
If you’re learning or refining your squat form, keep these tips in mind to protect your body and maximize results!
DO:
• ✅ Keep your chest up and shoulders back.
• ✅ Engage your core throughout the movement.
• ✅ Push your hips back as if sitting into a chair.
• ✅ Make sure your knees track over your toes.
• ✅ Keep your weight on your heels, not your toes.
• ✅ Breathe! Inhale on the way down, exhale as you push up.
DON’T:
• ❌ Don’t let your knees cave inward (valgus collapse).
• ❌ Don’t arch or round your lower back.
• ❌ Don’t lean too far forward; keep your chest upright.
• ❌ Don’t rise onto your toes or let your heels lift off the ground.
• ❌ Don’t rush through the reps—control is key!
