Screening new members
Screening new members helps to grow a vibrant community of engaged members.
If you are starting with a group that is free to join then you should definitely make use of the automatic questions feature.
Not only is this a fantastic way to gather relevant information from new members it also helps you to make sure you only approve requests from real people who you feel are aligned—or somewhat aligned—with your group offering.
And the number one goal for your Skool group should probably be creating a community of like-minds; not 'same-minds' but like-minds.

**PRO-TIP** If you are still unsure whether the applicant is a good fit, even after receiving the answers to your questions from a prospective new member, you can ask more questions personally via the chat feature. This is a great way to weed out bots and 'free-group-collectors' (people who join lots of free groups but don't engage with the community at all) PLUS a great way to build rapport from the beginning with legitimate applicants who are generally happy to answer more questions. Check out the image below to see where the Chat reply button is.
