3 reasons you dread cold calling - and how to overcome them
1. You fear rejection. 2. You’re uncertain of the outcome. 3. You’re too much of a perfectionist. Fear: There’s only 3 ways humans interact with fear. Freeze, flight, fight. Only 1 of these will move you closer to your goals. You must fight through the fear and take action. The quicker you fight through it, the better. Uncertainty: The only way you’ll actually achieve certainty is by taking action. When you delay action all you’re doing is playing mental games with yourself and wasting WAY too much time overthinking things. When you don’t take action at all, you’re literally sabotaging yourself. Perfectionism: It doesn’t exist in sales. There will ALWAYS be something better that you could’ve said to a prospect during a cold call. There will ALWAYS be better ways you could’ve handled an objection. There’s no magical sequence of words to be-spell on your prospect to guarantee success. Give yourself permission to be imperfect. Final thought: By becoming more mindful (self aware) you’ll start catching your lizard brain play games on you. In effect, you’ll be more inclined to take action because you realize all you’re doing is delaying success or never giving yourself the opportunity to succeed. What would you add? Comment below. Do work. ✌️

Prospect-first selling
Early in my sales career, I used to think that becoming an elite seller was all about understanding every feature of my product. Spoiler alert—it wasn't! I was buried in product manuals and still couldn't convert meetings. The real game-changer? Prospect knowledge: - What are their responsibilities? - How do they manage things now? - What are their goals? - What challenges keep them up at night? - And who really calls the shots in their buying decisions? You could be a walking encyclopedia of product knowledge, but if you can't connect it to your prospect's problems and objectives, you'll struggle to turn conversations into meetings. Get to know the prospect first, then the product. Once you wrap your head around this you’ll be able to sell anything at any company.

Best Platform to get leads (Business owners direct number and email)?
Hi, I have tried Apollo and Google listings and been doing some 1000 Calls per day with my team but I am unable to set a single appointment. I think the main issue I am facing is that 99% of the time receptionist answers the call and never let us pass through. How can i get direct phone numbers of business owner? What the alternative?

How to overcome fear, uncertainty, and perfectionism (cold calling)
Hey everyone, We’ve got a bunch of new faces in our sales community— welcome! 👋 I've been getting a ton of messages lately asking if cold calling is still relevant. Spoiler alert: it is. But let's be real, it's easy to get caught up in fear, uncertainty, and the dreaded perfectionism. Wanna know how I deal with it? Here are 4 things I keep in mind: 1. Become more mindful and realize when you’re overthinking things. Seriously, sometimes I catch myself spiraling just because I don't want to pick up the phone. Sometimes I freeze up when thinking about the hypotheticals “They’ve told me no before” or “they’re probably not even interested”. When you’re in your head you’re dead. So, start working towards the skill of becoming self aware. 2. Understand why you’re overthinking. Was it that last rejection? Let’s face it rejection sucks, but this is why we get paid the big bucks. Get over it and make the damn dial. Are you worried you won’t know what to say? Many salespeople I’ve been chatting with think they need to have a “perfect” script. No, what you need is a framework that guides you through the entirety of the call. Whatever the reason you’re overthinking, get to the root cause and tackle it head-on. 3. Making a cold call is just a small decision. Yep, it’s not the end of the world. The worst thing they can do is yell at you and hang up, and guess what? You'll survive. More importantly, each call you make moves you closer to your goals. 4. Overthinking has bigger consequences than you’d think. Dealing with “call reluctance” can ultimately lead to “analysis paralysis”. Heres the issue with that, being in a perpetual state of analysis paralysis can mess up your nervous system and even lead to anxiety, stomach issues, high blood pressure, or panic attacks! Not fun. To recap: become more self-aware, diagnose why you’re overthinking things, and realize that you’re just a small decision away to moving closer to your goals. What has helped you overcome fear, uncertainty, and perfectionism to be more impactful on the phones? Let's hear your thoughts below! 👇
