When I started my first community, I stumbled a lot.
But there was one mistakeā¦ one that topped them all.
The thing is, it wasnāt just me.
Iāve seen so many others fall into this same trap, time and time again.
Itās not that they donāt see the problem, either.
Most of them know exactly whatās holding them back... but they keep at it anyway.
Why?
Because it feels right. It seems logical in their heads.
But hereās what I found out:
The moment I let go of this one mistake, everything shifted.
In just 60 Days of launching my community, I went from zero to $2,158 in MRR.
And no, I wasnāt running ads, didnāt have a big following, and wasnāt churning out endless content.
So whatās the game-changer?
Simple: 1 niche, 1 avatar.
Back then, I thought the way to grow was to cast the widest net possible - to try to help as many people as I could.
And sure, thatās a way to do it.
But hereās what I didnāt get: when you try to serve multiple niches and avatars, youāre constantly scattered.
Your focus splits, and so does your growth.
Youāre always juggling new strategies, piecing together systems, and trying to solve unique problems for each group.
But the moment you zone in on just one niche, one avatar, you get 100% focus.
Thatās when you build something rock-solid.
First, you nail down how to get traffic.
Then, you figure out conversions.
Next, you refine how you deliver your service.
Finally, you work on retention.
Look at any successful leader - people like Alex Hormozi, Sam Ovens. They all talk about this.
Itās no secret, but so many people skip over it.
So hereās the real question:
Are you going to be the person who learns from their own mistakes, or the one who learns from others?
