The Three I’s: A Simple Guide to Intentional Learning
How many are feeling overwhelmed by all the information out there? I know it can be a lot. I’ve been reading a lot and since I came into the Funnel Hacker community I’ve read hundreds of the recommended books-plus many more.
I created this simple framework long ago, though I didn’t call it a framework (thanks ). It helps focus your reading on three key areas: Informational, Inspirational, and Imaginative.
As entrepreneurs, we need to be balanced, motivated, and creative…this approach lets you enjoy learning with intention and purpose.
How to Use It:
Use this framework to structure your reading list. Balance between the three categories to keep your learning dynamic and engaging. Whether it’s through a weekly schedule or choosing your next book, let this guide you toward a more intentional approach to reading.
1. Informational
Focuses on reading that provides knowledge, technical insights, and factual information.
• What to Read: Books, articles, and studies in areas like your profession, business, and skill development.
• Purpose: To stay informed, develop expertise, and make decisions based on solid knowledge.
• Example: Business strategies, technical manuals, or scientific research.
2. Inspirational
Engage with content that motivates and uplifts you.
• What to Read: Self-help books, biographies, spiritual texts, or anything that feeds your mindset.
• Purpose: To maintain motivation, build resilience, and keep a positive, forward-thinking attitude.
• Example: Success stories, motivational books, or philosophical writings.
3. Imaginative
Dive into fiction and creative works that stimulates your imagination.
• What to Read: Novels, short stories, and creative non-fiction that allow exploration of new ideas.
• Purpose: To spark creativity, think outside conventional boundaries, and relax your mind.
• Example: Science fiction, fantasy, or classic literature.
I use this ”religiously “ and for me, it’s more than just a reading plan—it’s a mindset.
It’s about staying sharp, staying inspired, and letting our imaginations soar.
Thank you for letting me share 😊
