Have you ever been told... "Calm down. Be quiet. You're too goofy, too crazy, too loud. You're sense of humor is too much."
Basically... stop being you! ...?
I have. All growing up.
Yes, boundaries matter. But when you spend your whole life being told to stop being you... and now, to serve the people you've been called to serve, you're supposed to shine a spotlight on the real you??
It's hard. It's scary. And it produces some of the best friends ever.
The more I lean into being my authentic self, the more I connect with the best kinds of people.
Be you. Be sarcastic or silly or loud.
Cry if you're going to cry. Dance if you need to dance.
The relationships and opportunities on the other side of those choices are beyond measure.
