Playing The Long Game: Start Simple.
One of the most important lessons I learned was to start simple and focus on consistency.
You are not running a sprint, you’re running a marathon.
Volume means nothing if it’s not done for an extended period of time.
So for example. Going to the gym for an hour a day for two weeks but then stopping for a month is useless.
But going to the gym for 20 minutes a day for 6 months will produce results both physically and mentally.
So in whatever you do or whatever you are starting to do, start small and simple. Focus on showing up everyday to do that thing.
Whats something new you are starting? A new habit, routine or project? How can you apply this principle to make sure you are still doing it in 6 months or a year?
