I used to be in his position. After being so burnout from my previous 9-5 job, I quit, Doing 3 part time jobs, hoping that this alternative will be better than working full time (tuition teacher, telemarketer and food delivery).
Unfortunately this plan is unsustainable. It takes me the same amount (or worst, more) time to make the bare minimum. I couldn't pay my rent, I skipped meals and basically I'm one "car broke down event" away from being fucked.
In the end I went back to the workplace and back to the 9-5.
One of Kris quotes in his videos resonated me alot. Sometimes we just lose our patience and we wanted it now, and that can be super frustrating that it hurts our mental health. How many times I just wanted to slam the resignation letter, say goodbye to 1 hour traffic jams, 9-10 hours staring at the computer screen and spreadsheets while dreading every Sunday night once and for all! Unfortunately reality doesn't work this way. It takes time and patience in order to see some progress.
Although it seems like either "Slavery" or "Starvation" is the only choice, sometimes we need to remind ourselves that we need to be patient and keep grinding. HAVE A PLAN. It seems hard right now, but as long as you don't give up, one day you'll have it.
