We all have beliefs and stories we tell ourselves I used to tell myself I never finishwhat I start I quit once it gets hard Why did I believe this? Because I would start one diet after another One workout plan after the other Whose ever program made bigger and faster promises I was on board You can't move forward until you discover what lies you have been telling yourself (there is a lot of you's in that sentence, but YOU are the star in your movie not me) Replace the lies with the truths you want to believe about yourself Try this exercise to get the process started

I used to think a pancakes were the best way to start my day
Until I listened to my body and realized: I was tired, cranky, hungry after an hour and needing a nap Once I changed my breakfast, my day changed Breakfast doesn't need to be the swamp looking smoothie your neighbor Dinah drinks on the way to yoga Make a simple breakfast that you enjoy and can fuel you for the rest of the day

Counting calories is time consuming and inaccurate Using hand portions as measurement is a great way to begin the process of becoming aware of how much to eat

Motivation is an illusion
It isn't going to show up just because you ask for it Any person who has reached a goal in any area of their life will tell you that they were successful because they kept showing up Even on those days you wake up tired because your kid was sick or hormones got in the way of a good night's sleep... show up and do something toward your goal Life is life and it won't be the last time something will sidetrack you so you learn to keep moving even if its just an inch
