Need some info before I start my EA
Afternoon fellas! I have a couple of questions before I apply for my EA. I use Tradovate and was wondering if I needed to have Ninja Trader also? I have both installed but NT says I have the same account with Tradovate and would need to open a different account. I want to make sure I am straight before I apply. I'm looking to apply maybe today. And I would like to know if there is anything else that I need to have in order before I apply, money in my tradovate account, or anything not mentioned in the videos by chance? I doubt Kyle left anything out but I still want to be sure, as this is a big step towards my future. Practice is great and all but I have to get moving on my career, time is a-wastin! If anyone could clue me in that would be awesome, thank you in advance for some help.

You don't open the tradeovate accounts. The propfirm will open the account for you and give you the login credentials for that account that you will be trading on. There are no prop firms that will put money in your account that you opened.
Once you pass the EA, it's still the same, you pay the activation fee, and they convert your EA to a PA, never in the process will you be opening an account to trade someone else's money. You will be trading on a simulated account with simulated funds that is provided to you, even at the PA stage.

What Dylan said and just to add to that, you usually have a choice between Ninjatrader or Tradovate when you open your EA (btw they are now the same company just two different platforms) so if you prefer to trade on one over the other you have a choice when you open the account after that that's your platform .

I believe it's Rithmic and Ninja Trader are the same company, and tradeovate is different, I could be wrong.

Hi What did you mean trading with simulated funds even at the PA stage? How can the prop firm pay you if you made money in a trade if it's simulated funds?

they pay out of user fees, so crappy traders basically pay the good traders.
