Some realities of our industry:
馃憠Schools don't pay a lot.
馃憠 Schools go out of business.
馃憠 Schools offer zero hour contracts.
While many of us love what we do, the financial aspect can be difficult. Not just in the day-to-day aspect but also in the big picture.
Let me ask a scary question: if you lost your job tomorrow, do you have enough savings to live for 3-6 months comfortably?
If so, you're in a good spot.
Many teachers in Canada are asking themselves that question this week after one of the biggest and longest-standing language schools closed a few weeks ago. Pretty much out of the blue, everyone lost their jobs.
With new visa restrictions for students coming into Canada, this may continue as well.聽Student numbers are already dropping slowly.
The point here is not to be alarming, but that there are always trends in any industry. Being prepared for anything is always advisable.
The need for multiple revenue streams has arguably never been greater.
This allows us to:
1. Live more comfortably
2. Do what we love
3. Not stress if one of them crumbles
We always recommend being proactive in setting up their safety nets as opposed to being reactive when it's absolutely necessary.
In this workshop, and I will go over strategies to set up multiple revenue streams now聽without working much more. Day: Wednesday, July 10
Time 1PM EST
