Welcome All!
Hi 👋 Welcome to the Fertility & Finances Hub! I’m your host, Brittany and I’m an IVF Mom myself who saved over $20,000 on IVF from what my first clinic told me the starting cost would be😮! After months and months of researching, calling clinics, comparing medication costs and trying to figure out how the average person is supposed to pay for fertility treatments, I picked up some amazing tips and BIG savings through my journey! I am excited to have you here sharing, supporting and learning from one another! Its SO important that we plan, pull together resources and share information so that every person can afford to start a family if they so choose🥰 Let me know in the comments what you have found most confusing about costs in the industry and what would be helpful to include in the community! I want to make sure I am giving my members the best value possible! Brittany

Jobs with Fertility Benefits??
Good morning everyone! I had someone ask...what about jobs that are advertising that they pay for IVF? This is a great question (and good marketing for that company) BUT here's a tip I would consider researching before taking a job purely for benefits: ✔️Clarify what is meant by "coverage"? There's no standard for what is "full coverage" of fertility care. This could mean anything from full coverage of all services to only one cycle. Sometimes this could even exclude the LGBTQ+ community or anyone needing help with the cost of donor gametes (donated egg or sperm which can add significantly to costs). ✔️Ask a potential employer for the full information on their fertility benefits and a full summary of what is and is not covered if you took the position. This will ensure is it worth it to you financially. ✔️Ask yourself: Am I taking a pay cut to work for this company just for this benefit? Does that outweigh not having coverage? ✔️Last but not least, understand you will be starting a new position and fertility treatments are time consuming. Will this employer work with you to actually use this benefit and have time off? I hope that helps! Let me know in the comments!

IVF Protocols and Cost
Medications prescribed for egg retrieval can be a HUGE part of total cost for IVF-here's an interesting article on how the industry is beginning to use AI to help reduce costs! "At the core of this collaboration lies Alife’s Stim Assist software, designed to optimize IVF medication protocols based on comprehensive data analysis. Drawing upon extensive datasets from thousands of historical IVF patient cycles, the software enables clinicians to tailor treatment plans that maximize egg yield while minimizing medication costs". https://femtechinsider.com/alife-health-partners-with-boston-ivf/
