Many educational content creators, especially those just starting out, often feel like impostors.
"What do I know?", "Why should anyone trust me?", "I'm not good enough."
And you know what? Maybe you're right.
But that's not the reason to stop yourself from creating, because there's an easy fix for that.
Embrace the Synthesizer mindset.
Don't try to position yourself as an expert if you know you're not. That's an easy recipe for feeling like an impostor, because guess what — you are. (That's what Alex Hormozi has been talking about a lot.)
A Synthesizer goes out to the world and tries to find the best solutions to problems he experiences. Then he makes sense out of it and presents it to the public, saying: "Here's what I've found."
He doesn't claim to have come up with the solution. He's not the expert. But he listened to 100 experts, connected the dots, and now knows what's most important. That's the value he brings to the table.
So to reduce stress and beat the impostor within you, become a Synthesizer. And ironically, that's when people will start portraying you as an expert, because you'll bring true value to the table.
Or at least I guess 🤷♂️, I'm just synthesizing what I've learned from Andrew Kirby.
