YouTube AI ChapterBot With Make.com (full tutorial)
This is a FULL tutorial, nothing is left out! But if you do want easy access to the Airtable base and Make blueprints, join the No-Code Architects. 27 spots left at $80 /month (lock in for life).
In this video I'll show you how to fully automate your YouTube video chapters. From scratch. We'll set up the Make automation to download the transcript, analyze with AI (Claude) to extract the chapters, and then finally update the YouTube description.
100% automatically! The is a full tutorial end to end! I show everything in the video.
It uses OCodeKit which is pretty cool and allows you to use code in your automations. We'll learn more about this as we go.
If code intimidates you, no worries, this code was written by ChatGPT!

Very cool. Do you think we’d be able to accomplish the reformatting/transformation with a format or JSON block instead of the 0CodeKit one?

yea, but I thought that was actually harder, believe it or not. Code is REALLY efficient at working with JSONs because that's where they came from. Sometimes I spend hours trying to figure it out in Make when I can just ask ChatGPT for the code and drop it in. You end up looping around, and calculating things, and trying to assemble it back together.

Did you guys ever get this to work?
Did YouTube maybe change the page around and the regular expression doesn't work anymore?
What Steven has in his video, and this solution not working for me. (Maybe I am late to the party and you guys already were aware).

I am not getting anything out of the "Find Transcript Link" so just dies there and no output. So "Get Transcript" never fires.
So assume its the regular expression but I am still a neophyte..

Yes Youtube did change the payload you initially receive from the GET request. Now they are loading the "useful" data with a second request made from a script.
The Regex is still valid but just the link that it is supposed to find is not loaded in that initial payload and that is why it doesn't find it.
I haven't figured out the script and endpoint the we could maybe use to get the payload containing the same transcript url.
I have found an alternative solution but I don't know how reliable it is yet (also it is a third party API, I don't know how sustainable it will be.

That is quite the payload... Is it just too much HTML to chew through?

In the passed I used make but found it easier to code some of the integrations myself but it’s now extremely feature rich and with AI and Air-table you can pretty much build anything.
