When I first discovered Skool, I couldnāt believe my luck!š¤Æ
Skool is GENIUS!š¤Æ
Getting paid to open a community/membership and not the other way around is INSANE!š¤Æ
Over 3 years ago, I heard about the term āRecurring Revenueā.
At that time, I was working as a small agency owner and I often struggled with inconsistent income.
I met someone online who taught people how to build their membership sites which could bring in monthly income.
I was hooked with the idea.
I bought her membership course and started going through it.
I was so freaking excited, until I wasnāt.
I explored a few membership hosting platforms, only to find out they didnāt support my country.
Some were not as exciting and the rest did not have supportive and flexible payment gateway for payment collection.
I was suddenly not feeling great and excited anymore.
It felt like memberships were just not for me.
So I closed that chapter and focused on growing my agency by offering wide range of services.
It wasnāt until last year around July, that I discovered Skool.
It had EVERYTHING I was looking for back when I was searching for a good membership hosting platform.
Most importantly - I didnāt need to have Stripe and could still collect card payments straight to my bank account!š
I build my FREE Skool community first and within a month, I had over 100 members inside.š„¹
I then created my paid Skool Membership, Growth Star Academy.
But I only launched a few weeks later.
Perfection always got the best of me.
I kept on procrastinating and āworkingā on the membership continuously.
And I kept telling myself thatās it not ready yet.
Thatās the work of those little nasty gremlins in your mind that keeps you stuck with perfection paralysis.
One day I was scrolling through the Skool Community and saw some people share the recurring income they were generating from their membership they started just a few days ago!
I was shook!š¤Æ
It was time I stop wasting time and launch my paid community ASAP.
Hereās how I launched my paid community and got my first 5 paying members!
1ļøā£. One Audience :
I figured who I wanted to help and who can benefit the MOST from what I have to offer inside my Paid Skool Community.
2ļøā£. One Launch Model
I did a soft launch of my Paid Community through a FREE 5-Day Challenge.
As someone who launched a $7 offer and generated over $5000 in profits within a month, all organically with no paid ads.
I shared my results with my audience in my free community to build relationships and trust and designed my FREE Challenge to help my audience
launch their own offers and generate results.
3ļøā£. One Offer
This step becomes easier if you know exactly what you audience wants, and offer them exactly that!
My main offer was my paid Skool community, Growth Star Academy.
I introduced my offer on the third day of my Challenge and got my first 2 members signed up for my Paid community!
I continued promoting my paid Skool membership after the Challenge and ended up getting my first 5 members!
Thatās like $200 in recurring revenue every month!
It may not seem a lot, but to me it truly means a lot!
It means I get to work with existing and new members and get consistent income every month.
Iām still learning and getting better with providing value and support to my paid members.
But getting out of my own way and launching my own paid Skool Communitu was one of the best decisions of 2024!
Iām excited to scale my paid community further in 2025 and help more members inside!š¤Æ
