The Poll Trick (If you already have an engaging Skool community... Don't read this)
I've discovered a simple trick that boosts engagement like crazy.
It's so easy, anyone can do it.
It doesn't require any special skills, tools, or money.
And it works for any topic, niche, or audience.
It's adding a poll to your posts.
A simple poll.
Whenever you post something in your community, whether it's a question, a challenge, a tip, or a story, always add a poll at the end of it.
Ask your members to vote on something related to your post. Or at least give their opinion.
Why?
Because most communities have low engagement,
they have too many ghost readers.
- Those people who just read your posts, get free knowledge, click some links, get free stuff, and don't even bother to comment or like
But, I meanโฆ you can't blame them. It's human nature.
They don't have any real reason to engage with you. (Yet)
But if you give them a poll, you give them a reason.
You make them curious. You make them feel important. You make them feel part of something bigger.
Why does it work?
Because people love to share their opinions. Especially online.
They also love to see what other people think. And compare themselves to others.
A poll gives them a chance to do both.
It also makes them feel more involved and valued in your community.
And it shows them that you care about what they have to say.
But here's the best part:
A poll is super easy for them to participate in.
They don't have to write a long comment or reply.
They don't have to think too hard or be creative.
They don't even have to read your whole post (although they should).
All they have to do is click a button.
One simple button they just can't resist.
And BOOM. They're engaged.
How cool is that?
I think it's pretty cool,
I've tested this trick on dozens of Skool communities and the results are amazing.
Every time I add a poll to a post, I get more votes than likes or comments.
Sometimes 10 times more. Sometimes 100 times more. (OK, maybe not that much)
But still... it means more people are reading my posts, paying attention, and taking action.
And that leads to more trust, loyalty, and sales down the road.
So how do you create a poll for your Skool community?
It's easy. Just follow these steps:
1. Think of a question related to your post topic that has two or more possible answers.
2. Write the question and the answers in a clear and concise way.
3. Add the poll option to your post using the Skool editor.
4. Publish your post and watch the votes roll in.
That's it. You're done.
