It;s underrated
Why is this so underrated…
Skool Ghostwriting
I’ve spent the last 3 months ghostwriting for $3,500 per month.
And it all started with this question:
“How do I keep people interested and engaged?”
Last year, I was cuddling alone in bed, battling depression, and had no direction in life.
I jumped from business idea to the next, in hopes of finding something I'd enjoy doing.
I started dropshipping…
Moved to web design.
I even started my own Facebook Ads agency.
For months, All I wanted was to make $10K per month while working from... well, anywhere.
Heard about this new thing called ChatGPT.
Apparently, you could use it to write copy and earn $145 an hour, even as a beginner!
Maybe THIS is it!
So from my little savings, I bought a course on it …
How to become a "master" of ChatGPT.
I felt so confident (read: delusional)... I started cold emailing every business on google, offering my "Elite" copywriting services.
Guess what happened?
Go on, guess.
I’ll give you three seconds to answer.
NOTHING.
Absolutely. Freaking.
NOTHING.
Turns out, ChatGPT is not a magic bullet that can write for you.
You still have to write like a human (with a bit of AI help).
But hey, I decided to try a different approach.
I sat down and wrote some samples.
Like, with my BRAIN.
And then, I reached out to an agency that sells Instagram growth course.
But instead of my usual "Let's Team up, I can bring you 20 leads per month!" pitch...
I offered to write for FREE.
The Broke Entrepreneur™, was offering to work for ZERO dollars.
Listen, in 2023, I was abundant in one thing. Time.
(And desperation. Okay, two things.)
So I figured, why not use it to my advantage?
I'd rather be writing for experience than rewatching Attack on Titan?
Two weeks later, I got a response.
The owner said she liked my samples… but she didn't need blog posts or sales pages.
But...
She needed something else:
Someone to write for her Skool community.
I never even knew about Skool but still,
I offered her a deal:
I would write for her community for $500 a month as a ghostwriter.
(Am super super generous, I know. I know)
I'd write her posts, reply to comments, create ads – basically anything that involved words.
And I would also help grow her community by joining relevant Skool communities and providing real value using her profile.
And IT. WORKED.
In just 4 months:
— Grew her paid community from 23 to 210 members
— $219,000+ in new revenue
Here's how I did it:
  1. I joined some popular communities in her niche. (Stalking can be profitable if you call it "market research".)
  2. I studied what problems and pain points members had, and how her course could solve them.
  3. Then I wrote posts that offered free Instagram tips, cooking advice, and giveaways. You know, adding value and all that stuff.
  4. I also replied to comments with humor and some authority.
  5. Made them laugh, trust me, and want more.
Then I casually mentioned her course and how it could help.
I didn't sell them anything directly…
That could get me BANNED.
I just gave them so much value they felt indebted to me.
They followed, DM'd, and asked about the course.
Generated leads for my clients this way.
That's how she made 10X her money back from hiring me.
TLDR: So many businesses out there, need you on their team.
You just haven't reached them yet.
