... working through the "is this even working" phase
posted yesterday about this getting kicked in the dick over and over again - with the random, unexpected win thrown in at odd times
I've experienced that lately
I questioned things, as I'm playing the game differently to most
the alternate paths make sense to me
--- but there's this powerful energy deep inside me to stick to this path
and I got validation it's working over the weekend
I'm not marketing the community yet anywhere off skool
... no ads
... no content
... no outreach
and just this weekend I had two clients pay me AND two others "sign up" for annual
the first two paid
one was $5k for 3mo, and the other was $1.5k for a VSL + about page optimisation and some emails
the two annuals have booked their initial call
they've verbally expressed commitment
this call is to confirm they're a solid fit for the overall vibe of the community
all four were inbound DMs
people I'd never spoken with before on skool
all four expressed "I want to work with you"
I've reflected on why this is possible and what the causal factor is so I can replicate it
and what I found was one word - QUALITY
that's the game I'm playing right now
I observe most people are playing the QUANTITY game ... they're shooting for volume
and it makes a ton of sense
the math works out much better that way
converting 4% of 50,000 is 2,000 members
if they all pay $125/mo, that's $250k/mo
my goal is QUALITY though
- leads - I only want to be speaking to my TOP 1% people
- 1:1 interaction and support for members
- quality human connection and relationships (between me and members, as well as members and members)
that likely means things will be slower, as more friction is added than is necessary
and I'm okay with that (but my ego isn't π€£)
how did this $16.5k come about?

all of my marketing assets, current and future, are written for one specific person
each post, each comment, each video, each story, each ad
... all for just ONE SPECIFIC PERSON
--- either a past client, a current client, or a potential future client
I want them to consume it and FEEL like it was created JUST for them
because it was
and this creates MAGNETISM of them toward what I am doing
if I've created the offer correctly and am getting the community clients results - this magnetism is amplified
... what's even more powerful is this π
because the content is written so specifically, it also MAGNETISES people LIKE who I wrote it for
that means HIGHER QUALITY LEADS
lower volume and quantity (for now), and higher back end conversion rates
I observe I can do this as my only offer is 999/mo or 5k/yr
--- and if people aren't ready for that I can customise an offer to give them what they need (big head) and then transition them to the community after if the fit is right (long tail)
the RULE OF ONE and the MAGNETISM creates ENTANGLEMENT
people resonate with the marketing, the messaging, and the work so deeply that it not only brings them into my world, but it keeps them there
this is validated by the feedback I'm getting off people
- following me here on skool
- creating notion documents with my content
- printing it off
- sharing it with other people
- waiting for the next one
any skool community owner can do this - it's simple
you just have to actually do it and place more intention and energy behind what you're doing
your messaging, you marketing, your advertising, your offer
how you package it all. how you say things. where you show up
right now I'm in the process of layering ads on top of this
as I want the system to be able to be consistent, and scale it
it's why I joined and in The Family my goal is for the DMs and inbound leads to keep flowing each week
I'm not in a rush as I'm playing to win win, not just win
(Hormozi talks about this in the latest 1-day recordings [pricing section] when speaking with ... it's a reason I resonate with Alex and Evelyn so much - they get the infinite game and want to win win) we see a lot of people winning here on skool
and that's fucking amazing
it's a testament to Sam and the incredible tool he's created
it's a testament to Alex and the world-class knowledge and expertise he shares
it's a testament to those individuals and the work, conviction, sacrifices, and commitment they have
my goal is for all of us to fucking win
... and that means setting the game up our own way to give us the best chance of doing that
my hope is that, if you're reading this, you're beginning to see there are millions of ways to do that
NONE are certain of working
what's CERTAIN is that you'll need to adapt, pivot, and evolve
when? where? how?
that's uncertain too
but the more we can be open and support one another - the greater the pool of data we collect as a community that we can use to guide us
for 99% of people the free > paid community model is the optimal choice
I decided for me it's not
I'd rather commit resources elsewhere right now
if I can have 200 conversations with my ideal clients, I can achieve my goal of ~$50k/mo
I've entertained the idea of webinars, sales calls, free communities and more
am I making it harder for myself?
who knows ... probably
only time will tell
and if I am, I'll pivot
all I know is I know nothing ... so when that information presents itself, I'll receive it and act
once I hit $50k/mo, I can reassess the situation and see if I want to double down, or go again
I don't know yet. it's not a problem worth solving yet
that bridge will be crossed when I get there
for now, the focus is on getting there
and that means π
- double down on what works for marketing and advertising
- double down on getting community members results
- double down on mirroring those results in marketing and advertising
