Are you getting the Skool cha-ching, or just the bling-bling? πŸ€‘
Real talk my Skool fam...
Now firstly I know we have a lot of talent and expertise in here in so many areas and I LOVE that we get to learn from each other.
As you know from my post last week there has been a lot of what I call "pointless posts for points" lately πŸ˜›
(I know you are all so excited and that Skool dopamine gets you hooked, so we can laugh about this as we learn to do better).
AND....
Since I made that post I know a lot of people are being more mindful of this, which is great!
Which takes me to the second part of this convo that has been on my mind that I've been discussing with a few Skool OG's that I feel you are ready to hear now. πŸ˜›
  • Getting on the Skool community leaderboard is cool.
  • Getting to level 7 and being invited to HQ is even cooler.
BUT....
If you are getting that many points, but have not made at least that in dollars on Skool in all that time....
Then with love, your time may be best off spent working on things like your marketing, messaging, positioning and sales..
Because those of us in business are meant to be making cha-ching, and not just here for the bling-bling!
THAT is how we create impact and change lives. πŸ‘Š
If everyone who joins Skool just spends all their time posting in here without getting any real life results, then this group will become full of lots of chit chat and regurgitated advice from people who aren't actually having much success on Skool (yet), and that's not helpful for anyone.
So my invitation to you is to look how many points you have on any of the leaderboards in here and see if you are on track (or at least close to) matching each point in that timeframe with a dollar.
Really and truly I see matching the lifetime points is a bare minimum of what you should be making in dollars if you really know your stuff (purely as I believe experts deserved to be paid well for their expertise).
If not then maybe it's a great time to slow down and instead of trying to school your fellow Skoolers with your "value posts"; take a chance to breath, relax and focus on what you REALLY want to be known for.
Eg: creating real success and getting your members great results so you build authority V just chit chatting in a group with no objective outside of getting points, or kudos.
That is why I have come across so many "influencers" over the years who can barely pay their bills, but I've worked with successful 6 & 7 figure creators who only have a few thousands followers and barely get any likes or comments on their content.
Likes, followers, comments and points do not = dollars
If you just want to be an influencer, no problem.
But if you really want to be an authority in your niche then you'll need more than points on a leaderboard.
Real brand authority won't come from people just knowing who you are because you post and comment a lot (in fact this can DILUTE your authority).
When people are looking to buy, they buy from credible experts who they are certain can help them (not just people with vanity metrics like points or followers).
You'll need real life mastery and success stories (from yourself AND those you have helped).
This group is great to make friends and get to know each other and I believe if we are all intentional we can create a really high quality space which we all benefit from AND all make money on Skool in the process.
Let's all come to together to focus on the collective success of us all.
One Skool member success story at a time.
You are all amazing, so let's go create amazing Skool groups and results and keep this group high quality (and get more dollars than points!) πŸ™Œ

PS - To those who genuinely are the best cheerleaders in here and have simply acquired all their points from giving support to others this does not apply to you. I see you and appreciate you!
