Connecting on LinkedIn

Hi everyone, I am a final year student pursuing bachelors in mechanical engineering. The discussions in this community are invaluable and have cleared many of my doubts.

Now coming to my question, how do you initiate conversations and build a rapport with industry professionals on LinkedIn. That's something I find hard to do.
