Hi, I'm Sam - The Small Business Surgeon
Allow myself to introduce... myself. My name is Samuel Smith, and I am The Small Business Surgeon. I am a Business Coach AND Consultant, and my primary duties are helping fix businesses and the Entrepreneurs that run them. Welcome to The Clinic | Business Builders. Here's a little bit about what I do: 🖥️ I've enhanced online visibility for a ton of local businesses, helped to double a client’s daycare operation through strategic website and CRM improvements, and worked to radically scale another client’s business from $100,000 to $1,000,000 in monthly revenues in just 9 months by adjusting their target audience and eliminating non-profitable clients. 📈 I've built my local entrepreneurs networking group to over 3,400 members and grown my podcast "The Small Business Surgeon" to over 50,000 downloads. 📹 I've doubled the size of a client's YouTube channel from 32k to almost 80k subs, and helped them triple their revenues by creating and training an internal media team, teaching them SEO and content strategies. 🎥 And for a touch of creativity, using my pitch deck and proposal writing skills, I rewrote synopses and marketing pieces for a movie project that Nina brought me into, pivoting its appeal and allowing the team to secure $15MM in investment for production. (I can't wait to share which movie!!) 📚Late last year I leveled up my knowledge big time by completing a postgraduate program in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning in Business Applications online through the McCombs School of Business, University of Texas. This has been a game-changer for how I approach using tech in overall business strategy. 🏘️ In the real estate world, I’ve picked up multiple awards for commercial sales, begun the process of education for my commercial brokerage license, and orchestrated several development deals, including a Ranch that was listed with another agent for over four years before we rewrote the script, adjusted the audience, and then sold for almost 25% over the original asking price, as well as a small subdivision that is on course to net over $400,000 in profit for investors—just a couple of the seven-figure real estate deals I’ve successfully put together.

The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F
I finished this book today and it was quite a life changing read! I have long struggled with my happiness in life, and its one of the reasons I joined this group. Luckily, the hardest part of that battle is over. In a nutshell, our unhappiness doesnt come from we we dont have, but from wanting what we don't have, and our lack of conviction or satisfaction in attaining it. And if we want for lackluster things, well, lackluster things tend to happen. Our values, and what we care about determine how we percieve the world, and how we percieve the world determines our actions, and our actions determine our fate. A strong argument can be made here that what we value, and how well we stick to those values, ultimately determines our outcome. So as we journal, and read our I am statements, introspect, and interact with the world, careful consideration must be placed on what we are valuing and the consequences of valuing it. I put my values on priciples, (Humility, Discipline, Empathy) because whether or not I am rich or poor, full of energy or sick, working or resting; I either succeed in being the person I want to be or I don't. I am happy when I succeed. I am also happy when I don't, because it provides me actionable insight in how I can be better tomorrow. Happiness is no longer the question. How can I be true to myself is. What are you valuing? Must you attain it to be happy? These are the important questions to answer when you are searching for meaning. Next book; "Mans Search for Meaning" by Auswitz survivor Victor Frankle. Happy Reading

Starting from Scratch
The ‘I Am’ is always evolving, at the end of the day what is the best version of yourself? I found it important to me to be a moral man, a man of principle, society will tell us that being wealthy & being unethical go hand and hand that there is No altruism if you are wealthy. I strive to change that for myself and my community. What are some of your core principles you have for Your business & you as your future self?
