Confession
I did not want to get up for a 4:00 AM gym session this morning, but I did! It’s a win for me when all I wanted to do was run down my list of things to get done today and check my phone. First thing I did was get up, breath, get out of bed and get ready for the gym to tackle another day💪🏼 Rise and shine!!

Inspiration from an unlikely source
A little update from my charity bout on Friday night. Murray is a 50yo insurance broker that never raised a fist in his life. At the start he was so out place and the fear in his eyes was next level. He almost quit the program 2 weeks in so I sent him a voice message about my experience in the previous program and offered to work with him outside the program. He overcame his fear of being hit when we started sparring. Every week he would thank me for singling him out for partner drills and pushing him. He said seeing me at the previous fightnight and pushing through injury was inspiring. The reality was this man was inspiring me. He went from a deer staring at headlights to a threat with some heat on his back hand. He got matched up with me for fight night due to being similar height and both being bigger blokes. I had 6 years and about 15kg on him, stronger, more experienced plus a lot of fitness. I couldn't have been prouder of the bloke. I threw plenty of punches at him (admittedly I pulled a lot) but he kept marching forward overcoming that fear of being hit. Unfortunately I stopped him with a minute to go, I was pretty filthy at myself. It wasn't my intention. By default I got the trophy for people choice because of the stoppage. I couldn't let it end like that. The video shows what happened next. Humility is so underrated, I was so I spired by this bloke I couldn't let it end like this and had to make sure he got his moment. Helping this bloke change his life was far more satisfying than landing a clean hook to stop a fight.

You can become the person you're proud of.
The photo on the left was taken about two years ago. At that time, I was running a multi-million dollar company but wasn’t happy. I was binge drinking most weekends, wasting time in the wrong relationships, and seeking validation. The photo on the right is me today. I haven’t had a drink in 144 days. My diet has improved (still not perfect), and I feel happier, more focused, purpose-driven, and confident. Plus, I’m sticking to my maintenance program—haha! I still have work to do, and that’s the beauty of self-actualization: constantly working towards a goal that brings out your best. Sometimes, success isn’t just about what we need to do; it’s also about what we need to STOP doing. Write down a list of what you need to STOP doing.
