Wedding painting
I stared at this painting for far too long last night. Does anything jump out that needs fixing? House proportions? Do the bushes look flat? Anything helps:)

Do you have any good pics of successful ultramarine shadows you could send for a reference
Post a pic of your studio/workspace
Are you painting from your bedroom like I was last year or do you have a big ole’ penthouse art studio. I want to see them all

Jax Florida painter
Hi friends! I’m a painter from Jacksonville Fl with a focus on nature forms and domestic spaces. I’ve been a working artist since 2019 and relied heavily on commissions to supplement the work I really want to make. I’m finally starting to phase out of commission work (mostly!) and leaning into my studio work more heavily. Ironically that freedom came from going back to work part time and I’m a lot happier. My focus has been developing a body of work I hope to exhibit in a more formal/public facing space. It’s been fun to change directions :)

Your work is so beautiful Kristin! Something about the greens in all of your paintings is so unique. Have you done any artist residencies in Jacksonville? I've heard about a few there and am curious if you have any input on which one's are better than others.

@Kristin Cronic I'm pretty sure Hotel Palm has one. That's the one I can remember off the top of my head.
Apps that improved my art overnight
Here’s a few apps that took my art to the next level. I’m always trying to find ways to make things as efficient as possible so I can make as much art as possible. For Sketching/proportions: Da Vinci Eye- turns your phone into a makeshift projector. Makes getting correct proportions quick and easy https://apps.apple.com/us/app/ar-art-projector-da-vinci-eye/id1120304868 Stop Motion Factory- free alternative to da Vinci eye https://apps.apple.com/us/app/stop-motion-factory/id1566814098 For Color: Color Name AR- free color picker app to get the right color and value every time. Our eyes love to trick us on how bright or dark something is based on its surroundings. https://apps.apple.com/us/app/color-name-ar/id906955675 Color Picker- https://apps.apple.com/us/app/color-picker-pixel-color/id1400884755
