Recently I had this thought that trying to get community members on Instagram, TikTok, etc. is horrible because people don't come there to learn anything, they come there to completely turn off the brain and doom scroll for an hour (at least), and don't remember even one of the reels/posts... + The longest CTA you can do on a reel would be like 3 seconds... 👀 So, I decided to start YouTube. I believe more people come there to genuinely focus and learn something so it might be way better for truly educating somebody and getting community members because there you can make even 30-second-long CTAs. I do track followers/members on platforms and in groups, but don't base your worth on them. It's just a metric that is easily pulled. A smaller group of followers that you have genuinely connected with is MUCH better than thousands and thousands of people you don't know. So if you have a small Follower count, but you know something about most of them you are doing great, if you don't know something about them try to work on those relationships before you worry about growing your numbers.
