Webinar: From 1:1 to Hybrid Courses
We've invited @Carolina Vecchio to speak with our community on her transition from 1:1 lessons to hybrid courses. Our initial steps as online teachers usually center on 1:1 teaching. After a certain point, most of us feel the need for diversifying our offers, niching down, reducing the workload and increasing our income. In this session, Carolina will be sharing how she used her 1:1 students, Instagram followers and prospects to create group projects such as ‘The Podcast Club’ where she was able to explore, research and gain confidence to teach adult groups and, from there, get the experience and feedback she needed. This also led to finding her ideal clients and, eventually, to start designing a hybrid course that caters to their specific needs. Date: Wednesday March 13 Time: 1PM Toronto/6PM Spain Register free on Zoom by clicking here.  *NOTE: In Canada, we move our clocks forward one hour this weekend. Do check the calendar here in Skool to see the time where you are (the calendar automatically shows your local time zone). Do you have any questions for Carolina or about hybrid courses? Add them here and we'll add them to the list.

4 niche criteria activity
Hi @Andrew Woodbury @Michael Landry @Leonardo Gomes Here's my attempt at the niching down activity A. Helping students ace the IELTS test B. Helping students to get at least band 7 in the Academic IELTS test C. Helping students to get least band 7 in the speaking and writing sections of the Academic IELTS test D. Helping university students and professionals to get at least band 7 in the speaking and writing sections of the Academic IELTS test I'm not quite sure about the last part whether I should target people with specific backgrounds or not because even though they might have different backgrounds, they have the same purpose for taking the Academic IELTS test which is to continue their study. So there's not a lot of difference, if at all, in the materials I'll be using. Looking forward to your feedback

Have you also waited for the perfect moment? Do you resonate with what we experienced? Are you trapped in the consumption wheel?

For me it's not about waiting for the perfect moment. It's more about the fear of rejection or failure because for someone with an imposter syndrome, every rejection or failure solidifies all negative thoughts I have about myself. I also agree with the idea that consumption and learning are often just procrastination in disguise. I must admit that's true for myself. I keep telling myself to learn more and get more qualifications and when I have enough, I'll be ready to start. But of course my perfectionist brain can always come up with something I'm lacking, so I just keep pushing taking real action back.
Introduction
Hi everyone! My name is Vendy and I'm from Indonesia. Where I work now, I help students prepare for different English tests , like TOEFL and IELTS. But after working there for several years, I've decided that it's time for me to go solo for more flexibility and better pay, which is why I joined this group. This whole teacherpreneur thing is new for me, so I will need a lot of guidance in building a sustainable model for my business and I also want to be a part of a like-minded community, something that's pretty difficult to find where I live. As for the idea for my teaching business, for a start, the idea is to set up an online IELTS preparation course where I will provide 1:1 services and also run monthly group classes. My plan for the next 30 days is to set up the website and plan for the programs I will offer. I also want to learn as much as I can about the business side (how to price and market the product and get clients, etc.).
