Cleaning membership for customers
I'm curious if someone has come up with a membership option for customers that makes sense. There's a company local to me, they do windows, panels etc., where the customer pays $50 per year and if they schedule 1 time a year the customer gets 10% off (silly to me to have 1 time as an option), if you schedule 2 times a year 15% percent off, and 4 times per year (yes they skip 3 times) you get 25% off. They also waive the 3.7% credit card surcharge. It sounds like a good idea initially in my opinion but the more I think about it, does it make sense? In order for it to benefit the customer their savings need to be more than the $50 per year which if they're doing it at least twice a year should be easy to do, but then does it make sense on our end? They are most likely going to have us do it again anyways if we do a good job so now we are making less money. I feel like there has to be another benefit to the effect of an added convenience such as priority booking without screwing over people who are already scheduled. What are people's thoughts? Does it even make sense to implement a subscription model for our type of business?
