Day two of 4am rises ☀️☀️☀️☀️
Good morning all, day two of my 4am rises. I’m finding this extremely helpful to focus on a good solid 2+ hours of study, I’ve started from scratch this week. Really gone through the 6 month blueprint and broke it down. Looking at this I think trading mentally and expectations are huge, I sat down and I’ve come up with a little strategy. Once I have completed steps 1-4, So within my paper trading account I’m going to start with £10k I’m going to shoot for 1% a day until I grow this by 30%, then up that to £20k same again 1-3% per day on average and then continue this way. The good thing with this it’s proving consistency and not aiming to high. Back testing from what I’ve learnt in my time within trading is huge, back testing and accountability. I will keep the group updated, I’ve purchased all three recommended books and Audio and text these should be really helpful. Have a great week all :)

Great job Steven, I think I struggle a little with perfectionism and so I always want to be more prepared that I need to be. Sometimes you just need to trust yourself and press the button. Thanks for your posts.
New Trader
Hi All! My name is Patrick and I am excited to start my journey in day trading. I have dabbled in the stock market since 2007 but didn’t really get anywhere and like most people threw in the towel. I have some capital now to play with and want to eventually retire early from my career and just do day trading to keep a sustainable income. I’m excited to start this journey once again but doing it properly. Looking forward to learning and discussions with you all!

How to listen to the WiKi
Hi everyone! So I just figured out how to LISTEN to the Wiki, instead of reading. Some of you may already know this, but if you don’t, and if you don’t have the time to read, like I don’t. This may help. When you download the Wiki from Reddit, save it to your files as a PDF. Then download the app Speechify. As you set up the app in your phone, you will have an option to pull downloaded PDF files. While setting up the app, it will ask you to pay like $100 something dollars to use it, but just click on the X on the top right (or was it left), but anyway, you don’t have to pay to listen! You just have to pay if you want to hear in Snoopdogs voice or other famous people voices. When using it for free, you are listening to in an AI voice. I found this sooo useful today, as I have mostly been on the road all day for work. And just today alone, I have listened to more of Wiki in one day, than I have in the past 2 weeks I have spent trying to find time to read it on my little phone screen!! I hope this helps!!!

Is the wiki you are referring to, on subreddit r/Daytrading?
Different Trading Time Frames
The following are the different trading time frames that I read recently and found interesting. 1. POSITION TRADE: stock may be held from weeks to months. 2. SWING TRADE: stock may be held for two to five days. 3. DAY TRADE: stock will be bought and sold (or the reverse) the same day. 4. MOMENTUM and SCALPING TRADES: stock will be bought and sold (or the reverse) within seconds or minutes, to hours. Each time frame has its own expected risk-reward ratios. Most traders engage in the last three trades - swing trades, day trades, and momentum plays. Source: Toni Turner.

Thanks Fabiano, I’ve found that everyone defines the swing and position time frames slightly different too.
