First, hello to @Christian Zikes who's also from Austria👋 (I hope to meet you) Fun fact, in Vienna's airport there's a lounge for people who mistake Australia with Austria:) (Unlucky) For the last 2 months, we were in Bangkok and Phuket, Thailand... It was beautiful and colorful, however, it's not a place where to stay if you want to build magnificent long-lasting things that empower the world... Your environment matters more than we even realize. Thailand is a great "play" place where you can go on an adventure, but when you're in a season of creation and execution, you have to be in a place that supports the creation & execution. The next 3 months for us, as a team, and as a community will be big. We'll do something we've been wanting to do for a long time... 1. Set a base in a European country that's calm, "royal" and inspiring 2. Push out content on a large scale and document the journey behind building and growing communities (both bad and great moments - RAW footage) 3. Participate in skool.com games (the largest community competition in the world) We'll do this in the name of going above and beyond our limits, building something bigger than ourselves so we can fulfill our mission: to make successful paid communities accessible to anyone. Good morning on this beautiful Monday! Last week was the first week of this community and it was incredible, especially our first mastermind call last Friday. First, I want to show an appreciation for everyone who showed up because this was a historic moment for this group. Second, please comment under this post: 1. In which time zones you’re in. 2. Here are a few takeaways that I found I have to work on to become a better facilitator/ host for any online event: 1. Set a frame for the whole conversation. Here’s my idea; not by just stating the event's agenda, but before the event sending a little e-book of what’s upcoming from the mastermind to make it more desirable to attend the event. 2. Gain clarity at the beginning: understand at the very beginning if your topics resonate with the current challenges/ desired outcomes of the audience. You can do that by asking “What’s your rose “desire” or thorn “challenge/ pain in the business? -> and then address those challenges to make the call more relatable/ connective 3. Make people seen: ask for their feedback and takeaways by either unmuting them in smaller groups or asking them to comment on their answers either through chat or pool format. 4. Clear expectations before the mastermind call: be upfront about what this meeting is going to be about because not everyone wants the same information or format of the information.
