Advyzon v. Black Diamond v. Tamarac
Greetings all! Our firm ($317M / 386 HHs) is considering a move away from Orion for a couple reasons: 1. This 8.9% upcharge for "out of pocket third-party expenses"; and 2. The platform is overkill for us - we use their Billing, Reports, Client Portal, Compliance, and Queries; and not much else. We use iRebal and Schwab Advisor Center for Rebalancing and Trading. In our due diligence, all three of Advyzon, BD, and Tamarac have seemingly better versions of all of those services. The big differences left are pricing and ease-of-use. Advyzon can replace both Orion and Redtail with their all-in-one platform - but will it be robust enough for us as we grow? (10%-15% per year) Black Diamond Reporting is very comprehensive and sleek, but we don't want to go back to Salesforce CRM. Tamarac has it all, but feels very similar to Orion and their CRM is more costly than Redtail. Will they be overkill for us as well? Is there anyone who has done this research already and made the move from Orion to any three of these other options? I'd like to know if you're satisfied with the move and if the transition was smooth. TIA!

We moved from Orion to Advyzon. How we used Orion, the change only made sense. However, Advyzon in my opinion is not great. Orion was the better product. If you are going to use Orion for its full capabilities it could be worth the cost. I personally wouldn’t move off Wealthbox and use Advyzon’s CRM, it is extremely limited in many ways.
VectorShift.ai Overview - what AI automation looks like
Video summarized with Supergrow: --- As the co-founder, Alex, explains in their recent YouTube video, VectorShift is an end-to-end AI automations platform that is revolutionising the way businesses operate. What's caught my attention is how VectorShift allows you to connect all your data sources, build custom AI workflows and run these across various applications. Imagine having an automated pipeline that responds to email support messages using your team's internal documentation as context. That's the power of VectorShift! I'm particularly impressed with the idea of 'VectorStore', which lets you automatically store data from an integration into a pre-processed storage database. This database can seamlessly sync with any changes made to your documentation, ensuring the pipeline is always up-to-date. But it doesn't stop there. With VectorShift, you can quickly build, test, and deploy AI applications straight to production, even embedding them on your website as a chatbot. Now that's a power-packed feature! By making AI and automation accessible and manageable, VectorShift empowers businesses to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and save valuable time. I truly believe this is the future of technology in business. 👉 Has anyone else tried using VectorShift? I'd love to hear your experiences. Here's the video if you'd like to learn more: YouTube video link

I know I can be a broken record, this is great. However, what is the data strategy’s behind and RIA to ensure the automation and LLM produces good content?
Data question.
Starting to work on a data strategy framework for RIAs. What I would like to know, what do you want do with your data, but you can’t? This can be across all aspects of your firm (I.e, CRM data, facial planning data, client communications dat, etc.)

Here some examples to get the wheels turning. Always fun to dream. I want to be able to see all my clients data in one view and see their free cash flow and net worth. I want to be able to be notified when mortgage rates hit 6% and then be able to see each client that is above 6% on their mortgage. I want to be able to take my client communication and turn it into a marketing post. I want to be able to track real time spending bands around my clients investment account and if their spending breaches that band be notified, or if it is below be notified. I would be great if this could be done monthly. I want to be able to compare my clients across net take home pay and compare that to net worth to see if there a correlations in that information. I want the ability to send my clients information to a lender to streamline home loan the home loan process.

Hi! Been building an RIA for the past 8 years. We have a hybrid pricing model, planning fee and/or AUM. Also building a financial planning platform. Have built CRM in AirTable and love everything OPPs and scaleability. Biggest pain point, integrating data in a way that can be operationalize. Looking forward to conversations!
