Jellyfish exercise !
Finally finished the Jellyfish exercise ! Took me some time because my brain couldn't process how offsetting works. It just couldn't comprehend how it goes from a rigid *translation+scaling* to something so smooth with what i was blindly doing with the keyframes by following the tutorial (Now I kinda get it better, what i'm missing will come with practice). That being said, I would love some feedbacks if possible ! What I noticed already is : - The farthest tentacle on the left is too curved, the top slips off at some point and is no longer covered by the body :_) - I was so focused on offsetting the tentacles to give a less robotic look to the animation, that I had not realised that the motion is terrible. By that I mean, this jellyfish does not use her tentacle to propel herself (therefore move forwards) at all, she just swings them randomly x-x. For the second gif, I was learning how to animate the face at the end of the tutorial. And when I followed the tutorial by unchecking the inherit scale property, it made the eyes slide like this xD. Couldn't stop giggling at how goofy it looks, but I didn't manage to find a way for the eyes to just, not do that? It probably is a dumb mistake but I didn't find the solution and went for the second method instead. Does anyone have an advice on how to edit your motion after having offseted all the keyframes already? My brain actually felt lost and exploded when I wanted to try o7. What I'll do in the upcoming days is most likely make a new (different) jellyfish to apply what I recently learnt. Have a nice day everyone !

@Cydoni Reyes Thank you for the reply full of advices ! With them I'll try fixing this jellyfish first before advancing to another jelly friend :D. I'll update this post in the reply with what I came up with, although I got family coming over for the next two days, I'll get back to work on tuesday !
First Hampster!
Just finished the free tool hamster test part 1 ! :D I haven't started the jellyfish & more in depth animation tutorial yet, just learnt the basics of basics but I tried playing with keyframes myself :D. (Shearing is a little bit too hard for me right now haha) So far I had a blast using spine ! Very friendly tutorial, it was a pleasure following it ๐Ÿ™

Welcome !! :D
Introduction !
Hello everyone :D, joining a bit late on the fun but I finally motivated myself enough to start learning spine animation ! - What's your name? & Where are you from? My name is Thibaud, people tend to call me Thibz, and I'm from France ๐Ÿฅ–๐Ÿฅ ๐Ÿ‡ซ๐Ÿ‡ท. - What's your experience with Spine? None ! I'm basically starting from scratch. It's been months that I wanted to learn how to animate 2D images / assets; yet I was having lots of trouble getting myself motivated to start sadly :/. - What do you want to learn? Does "Everything" count as an answer? ๐Ÿ˜… More seriously, as a total beginner, so, I guess I could say : Understand most of the Spine software's features (duh) ; How does rigging/bones/animation overall work; and then how to bring pictures/assets/artworks to life ; etc... I guess what question would fit best for me would be among the lines : - What do you want to achieve by learning 2D / 2.5D animation? Frankly, I'm a self-employed video editor, at first I wanted to try animation as an interesting hobby I could do in my free time. Although, I kept thinking to myself that Spine is quite an expensive purhcase for a hobby, especially if I end up loosing my motivation after a month or two (Granted it's way less expensive long term than the adobe suite lmfao). Fast forward a few months later, work isn't doing so great for me and I'm tired of editing in general, so I'm striving to retrain. Instead of wasting time at home, I thought that now that i've got time for myself, what would be a better timing than starting to learn animating now ! "Worst" case scenario, I get a new passion; best case scenario, I can try finding a career in this field :D. - What ended up being the inspiring & motivating trigger ? I was playing Honkai Star Rail, and checked their youtube channel, in their short content section (or character trailer full videos when a new one releases) there are lots of amazing 2d animated splasharts; and I thought to myself "Gosh I wanna do the same AAAAAaaaaa-" !
