Hi everyone! Hope you are all doing well. I felt like sharing something about my learning journey so here it comes: Last week I picked up my harmonium again after not having played for a very long time. I noticed that I really enjoy playing in the autumn and winter, but not so much during the summer. Somehow I always tend to practise for a while and then stop for a long period. I think it would really help if I searched for other people in my area to play music and sing together but I still havent found the courage to actively search for people. I just play by myself and don't even talk to others about it. I don't do anything 'spritual' like yoga or something so I'm not in those circles in my area. I live in a small town in the Netherlands so I think not many people have heard of the harmonium or of singing bahjans. So I'm too shy to post something on Facebook for example. Anyone else feel the same? I was a bit worried that I had forgotten a lot, but I was happy to learn that that was not the case. Having done the lessons about the foundations of the cords has really helped I guess. Here a short clip of me practising Ong Namo Guru Dev Namo. Feel free to share your version as well! It would be nice to see more people sharing on this platform to motivate each other :-).

I've been playing the harmonium for some time now but learned mainly through youtube videos or other people showing me certain "songs". Dear music family 😊 Previous month Mari Joël and I (and our kids of course) have been moving houses. We moved from Belgium to a beautiful house in The Netherlands. So we were very busy with moving houses, packing boxes and unpacking boxes, it’s really a lot of work. But now we finally settled in the new place and we feel very inspired here. We live at 50 meter distance from the river Maas which really gives a clear soothing and peaceful energy. We walk literally 30 seconds and we are at the river. You can find a picture of the river in the attachment. Because we have finally settled from the moving we will now be active again in the community. We will be organising some new challenges and activities in the near future for all of you so keep updated. I really hope to see you inside some of the q&a calls soon. Hello All beloved members of this community. My name is Suzanne and I would like to introduce myself again. Last year I started to enjoy listening to mantras 🕉📿. I discovered that listening to them and also looking into their meaning that it is very soothing and calming but also energetic and giving hope because the sounds are vibrating very high and that makes that I feel uplifted and smiling. I believe that changing the world is starting with changing yourself. I believe that to grow we need to learn to open up, to embrace and to share. So, I got more and more curious 🧐 and I felt in love with the voice and attitude of Deva Premal. As a child I learned on very early age to play the violin. I played until 21 years old. Somewhere in 2018 I decided that I would love to play the guitar and so I signed up at the local music school for guitar lessons. Every Wednesday afternoon I have my weekly lesson and I enjoy very much. As an adult I think it is not always easy to learn a new instrument because of time management but also it goes a little slower. My teacher is very pedagogical and uplifting so when I am on a plateau, he pulls me through it. Maybe that why I got encouraged to take singing lessons too. The motivation for this is that as a young girl I developed little knots on my vocal cords. I got operated and now after all this years it is completely healed. Sometimes when I get emotional it may happen that my voice gets weaker. I discovered on the music school last year a course for voice and breathing techniques to help. The method is developed by Pneumaphonie Serge Wilfart. I did a workshop last year in April. That was very emotional. Last October I signed up for singing lessons with Elisa who is a Sopran and harpist and teacher of Serge method. At the same time I found more or less by chance a beautiful harmonium which then I bought. I signed up for Kenny’s course on line but decided to wait with starting to make sure that I would be ready to follow all the instructions and suggestions.
