AI Images
I started experimenting with a couple of different models for AI images (midjourney, Dalle3 and Adobe) but the results are pretty atrocious and often completely ignore the description I give. Do you have specific prompts you use or general advice on how to improve the results?

Every time I think I get it figured out, it seems to laugh and toss me a curveball and show me I know noting at all. I honestly do not have a clue whats up with it. Sometimes I am on a roll of amazing prompts then it falls of a cliff and I cant get back going. Some days I just cant get a good batch of replies to save my life. Others I will try the same exact prompt that gave me great results and I get junk in return...other times I try a prompt that gave me junk before and it gives me an amazing reply. Some sessions are great image producers...others you just need to close the computer and walk away. One thing I suggest is checking out the public page of MidJourney and looking for things you like and try the prompt they used then start modifying it for your purpose. That has served me well in learning how to format visual prompts better, for the most part.
This is why Editing AI results is so important.
In this section I am working on I started noticed a bunch of style choices that did not fit my writing style. Here, in a single sentence, Claude broke 3 of my Writing Style rules. It's always fascinating to give it back to the AI and ask it to verify and see what it messed up. I know we have all talked about this, but I figured I would share an actual working example of why we all need to stay vigilant when using AI.

I also love it when AI breaks things like changing the names of main characters mid stream. I treat AI like I do my teenagers...I assume it means well, but I know it still makes random mistakes, especially when least expected, and needs a lot of checking in on and mom-ing to preform at its best ability because it doesn't have a fully formed brain yet.

šŸ‘‹ Hi, my name is Susan! I live inĀ a historic lighthouse and keepers cottage that I am restoring on Lake Superior and I plan on writing aĀ lot of books. The first book series will be in the cozy mystery genre and will feature various lighthouses on the Great Lakes. I want to get these 3 things from the community: 1. As an engineering nerd, I like to deep dive into technology and really really understand it.Ā  I am hoping the community helps me learn faster than I would on my own. 2. I work from home, and not a lot of people in my local community geek out over the things I do, so I want to be surrounded by like-minded people and have a sense of community. 3. I want to be inspired by what others are doing! 5 fun facts about me: 1. Ā I am an award-winning jewelry artistĀ  2. Ā I am classically trained as a Material Science EngineerĀ  3. Ā I used to design sporting goods but now I am a Product Development Engineer Consultant for software start ups, primarily in the Ag Tech realm. 4. My husband and I spontaneously bought an old lighthouse to restore and live in a few years ago, and no, we were not lighthouse fanatics before that but we do love historic houses, and you canā€™t beat the view that one has! 5. I am obsessed with traveling and my goal with writing is to make passive income to fund my travel habit. 6. A few of my websites that I built really fast over breakā€¦ https://www.portageriverpress.com/ https://www.portageriverlighthouse.com/ https://www.bloomingtraveler.com/ I am rebuilding my personal website to better reflect both the jewelry and author aspects. www.SusanHarbourt.com I would love to connect with the Lighthouse lovers out there to run some of my ideas past you!
