That's actually a pretty solid question, if you play your cards right you could have a potential client here. For starters: answer to her question by saying "Hey, thanks for taking the time to check my profile. But just to clarify, I was asking about tools and strategies in a general entrepreneurial context. Follow up: I'm simply interested in learning from fellow entrepreneurs about different approaches that are valuable to them and can help them succeed in business." Thats the angle I'd go with

PAS + Testimonial?
I'm wondering if it's suitable to add a testimonial to a PAS email to further encourage the reader to be sold on the product/course.

The 'S' stands for solution. So if you can clearly state the solution (service or product) to a problem your audience is facing, then I don't see why you wouldn't be able to incorporate testimonials or success stories towards the end. You just gotta make it look seamless, meaning don't just throw testimonials outta nowhere without providing context.

will my clients pay for me to use the softwares to set up the email automations or will I have to pay for myself to use the softwares?

Although Tyson has answered this himself in the past, no, you will not have to pay for any softwares. If they're already using email marketing or have an email list, they'll also have a subscription on an ESP as well.
