Open source AI image generators
Hello everyone, I hope you're having a wonderful Tuesday! Given what's happening to Kittl, I already got a MyDesigns Pro account and it's fine, but I also started doing a bit of investigative work on AI image generators that work for free and that hopefully don't share the images with other users. Below are a few I found: -- Gemini from Google - not great but sometimes comes up with surprising results -- Stablediffusionweb.com - pretty good, but you have to be super clear and concise as prompts must be under 500 characters. You get 10 credits per day, so you can generate 10 images. - Edit - there is a small watermark in the bottom right corner of every image with the URL of the website, so you'll have to crop the image or erase the watermark. -- huggingface.co/Jovie/MidJourney - this is a model based on Flux Dev but that generates images similar to what MidJourney would; it takes quite a long time to generate images, though, sometimes up to 10 mins -- huggingface.co/aleksa-codes/flux-ghibsky-illustration - technically it's for generating images in the style of Ghibsky (think Howl's Moving Castle, My Neighbor Totoro, typical Japanese style anime illustrations but with a slight industrial air) but I've used it for all sorts and it works just fine -- https://huggingface.co/spaces/black-forest-labs/FLUX.1-schnell - exactly what it says, it's the Flux 1 schnell model. Please note that for the HuggingFace models you will have to create a free account - the only model that works without one us this last Schnell one. Of course, you will have to upscale these images in something afterwards, but I think they come in handy if you run out of credits 😄. And finally, I don't know if I am allowed to share this here, but there's a cool website called promptlibrary.org with prompts for MidJourney, which you can ofc adapt for any AI image generator you use.
