Losing marks in school exams, how to counter?
I always lose 1 to 2 points on school quizzes and tests. Any suggestions on how to get a full score every time. If there are different methods for different subjects, like Math, Science, English, History , please do share.

Math contests for med track?
For admission into HYPSM, would it be necessary to participate in math contests, such as AMC8, AMC10, MATHCOUNTS, MMT? and if so, share your thoughts please.

Question: How to make the most of my summer as an aspiring pre-med student?
Hi! I'll be a high school sophomore in the fall, and I wanted to know what I can do to make the most of my summer that would benefit college apps and to just learn more. I'm currently studying for standardized tests, which unfortunately takes up most of my summertime. Since I'm aiming for a perfect score, test prep is my priority for now. I want to do some hospital volunteering and shadowing, but I also want to finalize a research idea by the end of this summer (school starts August 22). What do you guys suggest that I do? From what I've seen, research is probably the better option, since almost everyone does some sort of volunteering. I would love some tips about how to manage time and accomplish some of my goals so I don't waste time :) What's your daily schedule to maximize productivity? Thank you so much!!

It might not be much, but quitting sugar has a connection to better brain performance. Do your best to complete as much work as you can in school, because then you can pursue your extracurriculars.

Publication question (please help)
do colleges and research programs care where you publish? i found a journal run by some institution in india thats pretty sketchy according to online stuff but they are google scholar pubmed indexed and only cost 45 to publish or can i settle for a high school journal but not the super expensive predatory ones https://ijsrst.com/index.php/home and this is similar story: https://www.cureus.com also i dont wanna spend ages figuring out publishing after writing a long as paper

It should be credible.
BIEA Science fair
Just wanted to let you guys know about the BIEA stem competition held in London. Each year, they choose a new topic that is assigned to participants from ages 6-18. Entries are taken across the world. Around 30 finalists are selected, from which they will be interviewed about their project. After the interview, these finalists go to London to compete for awards. I won the BIEA STEM youth 2024 outstanding achievement award. I would say that it looks great on your college resumé as it shows your dedication to community work.

@Yuvika Iyer Of course! So what you do is that you choose 2-3 types of textile to research on. You are required to make an invention with one of the textiles that you have chosen. Examples of those are an improved thread, or figuring out how to correctly manage thrown out clothes as you mentioned. What I did was that I opened a Sunday Funday textile recycle program in my community, where I invited people to make shorts out of old t-shirts. I highly encourage you to participate in this.
