@Sarah Hankins I tell people all the time that I'm just 60 days into being a community owner. People are so much more trusting when you can actually be vulnerable and just be truthful. There's less pressure on me to pretend like I know it all and members are also so much more understanding.

So many valuable nuggets being dropped in this episode!! This was very informative episode!! I asked ChatGPT to give summarize some clear takeaways and action steps! Here is what it provided: 1. Start with a Niche Focus - Takeaway: Communities thrive when built around specific interests, problems, or professional skills. - Action Step: Identify a clear niche or topic that you are passionate about or have expertise in. Research what specific challenges or desires your target audience has, and build your Skool community around solving these problems or fulfilling these interests. 2. Gather and Showcase Proof - Takeaway: Proof, such as testimonials and success stories, is more important than having a perfect offer. - Action Step: From day one, document any wins or feedback you receive from community members. Ask early members for testimonials or create case studies around successful outcomes. Display these prominently in your Skool community to build trust. 3. Leverage Personal Branding - Takeaway: Personal branding is a powerful tool for promoting your community and gaining organic growth. - Action Step: Start sharing your journey, insights, and progress across social media platforms. Be consistent with content that reflects your values and the purpose of your Skool community. This will help attract like-minded individuals to your community without paid ads. 4. Create a Simple, Actionable Path - Takeaway: New members need clear instructions and an easy-to-follow path to get started and stay engaged. - Action Step: Design a welcome flow or onboarding process for new members. This could include a series of posts, videos, or a simple roadmap that explains how to get the most value from the community. Make it easy for people to start participating right away. 5. Foster Community Engagement Early - Takeaway: Active members will help grow your community and sustain its value over time. - Action Step: Encourage early engagement by asking members to share their experiences or advice in discussion threads. Create weekly challenges or discussion topics that invite members to participate. Celebrate and promote those who engage the most to build a sense of belonging and motivation.

This morning we hit Rank #1000 ( ..of HOW MANY communities❓) and we continue to level up! 🥳 20 days since starting this community on Sunday 11 August 🥳 August 25th one of the members asked: "How are you growing your group so fast? Are you advertising or just by asking each person to invite 3 people?" We were Discovery (lingering +/- rank #1260) on that first Friday, 5 days in, so I made a post suggesting that each member invite 3 people to accelerate group growth. When About page metrics released earlier this week we were showing 118% conversion. I am not running ads. I do not have thousands or even hundreds on my email list or attract huge social followings I am barely posting content to other platforms (coming soon!) ...however... I do have conversations I do show up daily I do help others ...and... I invite people!! 💌🧑‍💻 ...and then... I engage them with a new member Auto DM, an Introduction post tag, and welcoming comments. Keep in mind that I didn't just blast blanket invitations, I selected active connections on Skool and LinkedIn, people I knew would come in and help kickstart a collective endeavor We've barely begun and we're growing daily with very little new or added efforts on my part. Are you just sitting there complaining about lack of growth or are you showing up? Are you engaging on the platform, in your community, in the member DM? Are you doing the work? It doesn't have to be complicated. Be consistent. Show up. Get growing! 💥🤩🚀

One time purchases.
Is anyone successfully using one time purchases in their community? Can you one time purchase a course hosted in the Skool platform?

@Alec Lane I use one-time purchases to monetize my free community! One-time purchases have been extremely instrumental in my overall Skool monetization strategy. I'd be more than happy to share more details. You can also feel free to DM me.
