Therapy + Journaling
I've been in therapy for a few months now and just started to really get to some difficult topics. For me, that's recently looked like setting boundaries and not doing everything for everyone else all the time trying to "help." Since my last session I've journaled every day as I learn to stop overextending myself in nearly every relationship. It's freeing, and exhausting. I'm so glad I have journaling to go to whenever I need to relax & get out of my head. Was wondering if anyone else has a similar experience or writing / journaling activities that have helped you along the way 🌱

@Diane Koletzke Same here. I’ve healed through many tools, the most important being unburdening my mind from thought through writing.
Introduction
I started journaling in 2020 when the pandemic hit, started in heavy with creative work in my journals, scrapbook paper, stickers, etc. Also taught myself (with the help of many You Tube videos 😊) how to Hand Letter. Nowadays my journaling is more simplistic, I use one of Amanda Rach Lee's journals for daily stuff and currently use a dot grid journal to freehand thoughts, etc. Glad to be here.

I identify with your kind of journaling. I’ve use bullet journals for years now and while my style has become more minimalistic with the pass of time, I don’t love it any Iess. I remain obsessed with bullet journaling.

@Theresa Aldrich It does sound beautiful. I’d love to have a daily morning routine with my journal too. I’m more of a night owl and love playing with my journals late at night.
What are you reading?
Lots of people in the intros thread said that they liked reading so I thought we should have a bookish thread! 📖 What are you reading at the moment? Are you enjoying it? Didn’t you love it when…? Let us know! Please make sure to clearly mark spoilers if you’re going to post details about books!

@Sam Brooks that’s really cool. Thanks for the recommendation. I use Goodreads to track my reading.

Any tea lovers here?
I'm a big fan of tea and as an American, I think it doesn't get enough love. Anyone drink it? If so, what's in your cup?

Regular old PG Tips with a splash of milk is my tea of preference, but I love a big cup of black coffee too.

@Sandie Tomlinson I never tried that one before. I did fall in love with one I tried and haven’t been able to find again. It was also from Twinnings and it had orange and cinnamon. It was absolutely delicious, it felt like a warm inside hug when I tried it. I’ve found a similar box since but defo not the same. Hope I find it in my next trip to the UK or somewhere in the inter web.

I've journaled my whole life but started bullet journaling about 8 years ago and love the creative part of it. Mine aren't fancy but they are colorful and I am learning to journal more about my emotions and not just the day to day of my life
