WELCOME! Here's the place to start
Hi there, O builder of worlds. Thank you for joining us. Whether you have yet to start a community or are a seasoned Skool, I want this to be a place where everybody has fun and helps each other. Rather than being a community based around me preaching as some kind of Skool expert, in Community Starters we can all share information, discoveries, help and support, as we watch each other's communities grow and flourish - or talk each other into starting new ones! Here are a few things you could do next: 🔥 Introduce yourself with a comment below. Tell us: ... where in the world you are ... where you are on your Skool journey ... what you like to do for fun ... whatever else you'd like to share 🔥 Post a question for me and/or the group members to answer. - Perhaps you're still trying to figure out what your community topic should be - or maybe you already have a pretty shrewd idea and would like feedback? - Or perhaps you'd like to know how Skool works in terms of structure, features or something else? This place is all about being a helpful sounding board. - If you have a community, perhaps you'd like some friendly feedback on your About page from me and the other members? Ask away! - Hit the poll icon along the bottom of your post if incorporating multiple-choice votes would make for an extra-useful response. 🔥 Respond to one of the posts that already exist here, perhaps to share your own knowledge, or opinion, or support. 🔥 Check out this video course about Skool basics in our Classroom. 🔥 Or just sit back and absorb the posts and conversations as they happen! 🕹 Whenever another member hits Like on one of your comments or posts, you earn one point - and the more you earn, the more you progress up through the levels. 🎁 Reaching Level 2 here at Community Starters allows you to unlock my handy Skool Community Starters checklist PDF, which will help you ensure you're ready to usher in new members. (Don't worry, you only need five points to reach Level 2!)

@Bryan Diggle this intro was nothing short of legendary. What’s your passion and purpose for Skool my friend ?

@Bryan Diggle I aim to establish an environment where individuals can develop sales skills without compromising their integrity or succumbing to the pressures commonly seen on social media.

Hey everybody, here's a quick update going through the new features and UI fixes we get in the Skool mobile app. The one thing I noticed I missed is that you can't see the "watching" counter anymore. Enjoy!

The optimum number of IG posts per day?
In the March 1-Day With Hormozi recordings, Alex Hormozi specifies what he has found to be the maximum sensible number of posts to make on Instagram each day. "Two or three" is the number, according to the big man. Beyond that, he says, IG penalises you for spamming. How many times do you post on IG each day?

Changing your identity
I really like how easy it is at Skool to change your community's name and look. You can very quickly change the name to see how you and your members like it, along with the various accompanying imagery. This weekend I changed my group Phantasia Writing Lounge to Author Confidence Circle, because it feels clearer and hopefully conveys one of the benefits members get. I also made the branding simpler and more specific to writing. So now we'll let the new name and imagery settle in, to see how we feel about it. Easy. Have you carried out a similar pivot and refurb in your community? How many times?

I had to comment one but I can’t say I don’t think about making a pivot with it sometimes
Strong wisdom from Friday's Skool Games launch
There's been quite a bit of talk about the model of a Skool-literate creator finding a mega popular influencer to hook up with. The idea is that the influencer sends the traffic and the Skooler builds and runs the community. For a few days now, I'd been wondering what the financial split would be. 50/50? 70/30 in the influencer's favour? During Friday's launch of The Skool Games for March, Alex Hormozi had some wisdom to impart on this very topic, as if having read my mind. He said (and I'm paraphrasing) that it's better to give an influencer 90% of the takings if they're good, than give them only 10% if they're not so good. There's no point being greedy with a small pie, was the fundamental point Alex was making. He also added that if the influencer's on a high percentage, they'll be more incentivised to push the community. Wisdom, for sure! Am attaching the YouTube archive of the whole launch. I also liked what Sam Ovens said about almost crowdsourcing a course in your community, even though I don't yet fully understand how that would work. Although I guess I'm already planning to do something similar, by offering free community review videos to members here, provided they're game for the video to be archived in the Classroom for everyone to watch and potentially learn from. Let me know if you have a community and would like to take me up on that offer. See the Classroom for more details. What was the strongest takeaway from the launch for you? And how do you feel about The Skool Games? To what extent does it drive you to want to start a community, if you haven't already?

I like that he mentioned this too. It’s not common to think this way because it’s really easy to be greedy when you have a scarcity mindset.
