Index Structured JSON documents in Microsoft Fabric
Hello Community, Today, I run some elasticsearch clusters to index a large number of structured JSON documents spread across 100s of indices. This is wrapped by a microservice service X, to which a user makes calls (with elastic DSL), and X queries elasticsearch behind the scenes. Now, If I want to achieve this using Microsoft Fabric (where X queries Fabric instead of Elastic) - What are some options I can explore? Fabric SQL can be one I am thinking to explore - but what are some other things I can explore to achieve this functionality?

As per my suggestion Azure Cognitive Search is a better choice for this, as it is mainly designed for this type of search functionality. and if you want to use the Fabric SQL you may need to transform your JSON documents into a relational format, which could add complexity.
Connecting multiple Apache Airflow jobs
I have 3 airflow jobs each with different tasks; airflow job_1 has task1 and 2, job_2 with task3 and job_3 with task4. Which would be the best way to connect the jobs in that order? I noticed data pipeline doesn't have a provision for an airflow job activity (or something like that).

To connect your Airflow jobs in the specified order within Microsoft Fabric, you can use the Apache Airflow Job feature. This allows you to create and manage Directed Acyclic Graphs DAGs that define the dependencies between tasks across different jobs. As much i am aware its a preview feature, you can try to use this.

@Liz Nwachukwu i am preparing for dp-600 and i think this can answer your question Column-Level Security (CLS) in Microsoft Fabric is a powerful feature that allows you to control access to specific columns within a table. 1.Protecting Sensitive Data: Restrict access to sensitive columns such as Social Security numbers, credit card information, or personal addresses to only those users who need it. 2.Departmental Access: Allow users from specific departments (e.g., HR, Finance) to access only the columns relevant to their roles, ensuring they don't see data outside their scope. 3.Compliance and Privacy: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations by limiting access to personal or sensitive information based on user roles. 4.Simplified Data Views: Provide users with a simplified view of the data by hiding unnecessary columns, making it easier for them to focus on relevant information. Regarding your second question, CLS permissions can be assigned independently. Users do not need access to the entire table to benefit from CLS. You can grant or deny access to specific columns using the GRANT or DENY T-SQL statements. For example, you can allow a user to see only certain columns of a table while restricting access to others
Semantic model to import mode
Is there a way to convert a semantic model to import mode? The reason is that we want to be able to create calculated columns on semantic model.
