Hi everyone. I'm Phil, currently living in West Palm Beach, FL. I ran an online entrepreneur academy for 12 years (in my 2nd language, Spanish) and traveled Latin America for 7 years, ending up in Florida. My biggest strength in the entrepreneur ladder is going 0-60. I enjoy taking things from concept to running with a steady client base. My biggest weakness is my ADD, but that makes life fun. My favorite platform for paid ads and sales funnels is FB/IG. I have a decent following on YouTube, but that's mostly from posting webinars. I'm intrigued with SKOOL - build a community model, and I'm here to learn and help in any way I can. Today I have an education company and our courses are getting installed inside US correctional facilities. I'm looking to build a virtual community for when folks get out and want to learn tech pathways to meaningful income. I also want to target youths so they can stay out of trouble. I'm driven by doing entrepreneurial ventures that make an impact in people's lives. I'd love feedback and insights on how SKOOL can work in this niche. I look forward to meeting you on this journey.

What is the best community that you aren't born into but instead choose? Skool seems to be trying to capitalize on being the community platform which is certainly a need in society. Most communities you are born into, for example being a fan of a sports team, a culture/ethnicity, family, and religion. The main community a person finds in their life that they aren't born into I think is what College/ University they went to. A distinct characteristic of College is that you cannot attend more than one at a single time. You also spend a lot of money and people often brag about what college they went to since there is an element of prestige attached to the brands. What is the platform Skool doing to make itself more like the real life communities? I am curious as to everyone's opinion on Skool and communities. Can you really build a community if everyone can be apart of every other community? People usually take part in a community because of social pressures that come from close peers or direct family, then stay due to the sense of belonging. If most people are on Skool to get access to a specific course/content, will they stay for the long run when those benefits stop updating? I really like Skool and see a lot of potential in it. My criticisms are meant in good faith to start a dialogue to improve the platform. What do you guys think about what Skool is trying to build? There are already plenty of course creation platforms, so the community need is there with the the current ones like facebook being overrun with spam. Thanks for reading!
