DLP solution
Has anyone worked with Upguard or any DLP solution or something similar they can recommend. Im looking for something that will flag anyone removing data, trying to access data they are not authorized to that kind of thing.

finding a security related job
So far I've wall-papered the internet with my new resume, no takers yet. But plenty of DevOps gigs which I don't really want to consider. Over my 26 year career, Ive been around infrastructure, either building or project planning entire networks from the ground up as a Field Engineer, or securing/segmenting them via patching or Vlans, firewalling with Sonicwall, using the best practices we all know. I also worked as a manager and a team lead. Cybersecurity jobs that Ive been applying for require specific experience as a "Cybersecurity professional" with a minimum of 5 in that role as an example. Which I don't have, so I'm not being even considered. So Im not sure how to fix this weird reality of not having enough experience as a "Cybersecyurity professional" .

Update: today I accepted a position as a Sr.Cybersecurity Engineer! I start in two weeks. In all I was off 8 months, during which time I obtained a CISSP with the help of this group. What a journey its been. I lost count of the number of resumes I sent out and almost quit to go drive a truck. This is really a amazing group! Peter

@Vincent Primiani Thank you!
CISSP Exam free 2nd try?
https://www.isc2.org/landing/exam-peace-of-mind I saw this today when looking at the CC exam. I might go for it as I'd hoped to take my exam by December so this way I can just see how I go with only 60% covered and then work hard for a month for the 2nd shot!

Well worth it in my opinion.
Passed!!
Just wanted to share that I passed on my first attempt! Haven't been the most active recently but this group was massive in helping me pass. The guided bootcamp offered her was a great value and I'm glad to have stumbled upon this group. Goodluck to the rest who have yet to sit!

Congrats!!!
Can't believe it but...
I passed today! It's difficult to summarize the exam experience. I've scheduled it thinking "OK, I'm confident on about 80% of the content, so I should be able to do some damage control on the 20% left". CISSP exam from the 3rd question until the end : "So, let's talk about those 20% 😏" Even with the knowledge, it was sometimes (often) completely impossible for me to rationally select an answer, as if knowledge was necessary but not sufficient. If it happens to you, don't give up and trust your intuition. Study strategies I've found useful : 1. Being part of this community, where I've been feeling supported and valued. Hello @Vincent Primiani 🙂 2. The awesome and comprehensive study sessions @Josh Botz 3. Books I used and loved : Destination CISSP ebook (super useful to understand quickly a lot of content), All-in-One CISSP exam guide (super useful to go into greater detail) 4. Learnzapp for the practice questions and practice tests, really a good training for the exam 5. Taking the CC exam. Thanks to @Clifford Jenkins and @Jon Brown for suggesting that.
