How I got my first paying client...
I started building funnels about nine months ago, and within my first month, I got my first paying client. So, how did I convince someone to hire me, even though I had no prior experience building funnels? My secret: I started by working for free for a friend who ran Google Ads. Here’s how it happened: I met a guy about a year ago who specializes in Google Ads, and we stayed connected through Instagram. This is where the power of social media comes into play—keeping relationships alive. When I was ready to start building funnels, I reached out to him and offered to build funnels for him. Why him specifically? Because he was already running Google Ads campaigns, and funnels are a crucial part of a successful Google Ads strategy. He was creating his own funnels, so I saw an opportunity. I made him an offer: I would build funnels for him for free if he gave me a chance. He agreed. But here’s the key—you can’t just stop there. You need to ask them directly: "Which customer are you currently working with that I can build a funnel for?" Getting them to name a specific customer gives you both clarity on the next steps. I even told him I was willing to build up to 50 funnels for free, but it only took three before he started paying me. If you want to hear the second part of my story—how much I charged him, the tools I used, and which ones I recommend—drop a like!
