I've been primarily focusing on vocal practice using the method you suggested, so adding guitar into the mix took me by surprise. I find the lower parts of the song really challenging, even though most people struggle with the higher notes. When I transpose the song up a whole step, it becomes easier for me to sing, but I think the difficulty might be more about my technique than my range. I'm not entirely sure, so I'd love to get your opinion on this. Any additional feedback would also be greatly appreciated.😃
What’s everyone practicing this week?
Leading up to feedback Friday, what are you jamming on? I’ve got a party show coming up so I’m learning sex is on fire and I will wait for you!

Too Sweet by Hozier. Stunning vocals paired with killer of a bass riff.

Hi! I've been practicing a lot of singing this week, focusing on improving my vocal rhythm, so any additional advice or comments regarding vocals would be greatly appreciated. One thing I've noticed while listening to my recordings is that I often mess up my strumming because I focus too much on vocals, which in turn throws off my vocals too😅. To address this, I started practicing with a metronome, and it seems to be helping. I wanted to ask if this is something that will naturally improve over time, and if I should continue practicing with the metronome, or if you would suggest other methods?

Hello! This is my first interaction in the community. I have some confidence issues with singing. One challenge is getting used to hearing my recorded voice, which sounds very different from what I hear when I sing. Additionally, I'm concerned about my appearance while performing. Do you have any tips on how to present myself during a performance? For example, where should I look—should I make eye contact with the audience or avoid it? Also, you mention vocal rhythm a lot and I can't exactly understand what you mean by vocal rhythm. How do you know if your vocal rhythm is good or bad? Another thing is I'm also almost entirely self-taught, and I struggle with understanding my skill level on the guitar. For example, I learned the minor pentatonic scale 2 months ago through your YouTube jam videos but I can play more complex things because I've been playing guitar for almost 7 years. I've been joining jam sessions in my town for the past 3 months and have improved immensely. However, now that I'm back in my hometown for summer break and there is no music community, I feel like I've stopped improving and am just consolidating my skills. Right now, I feel comfortable playing the minor pentatonic scale and I've been experimenting with the minor and blues scales, but I don't know where to go from here. Should I keep learning scales, or should I focus on something else? And what should that something else be, because I have no idea. I usually play guitar for hours and hours every day and it got me somewhere, but I feel like I can get way better if I can find a direction, so I would really appreciate any feedback or advice you give.
